Went in to find a replacement bowl for my Kitchenaid stand mixer. I went to their repair department and explained what I needed. I explained that I needed a 5 quart bowl for a lift-type mixer. He rudely interjected with "Which one? There's about three. I need the model number of your mixer." OK, fair enough. I had that written down already. As I am reading the number to the employee he abruptly interrupts me and tells me that part number is for a remanufactured mixer and is "worthless" to him. He then explains that I need to bring my entire mixer into the store so they can "maybe" match up a bowl they have in stock to my mixer. I ask if I can bring the bowl in to match that up as it's easier to lug around. I'm told "Probably not"
I question a few things about this interaction. I deal with part and model numbers for products on a daily basis. I've never heard of a model number being worthless to match up a replacement part. It's the sole reason they use these numbers. A quick Google search of my model number brings me to the Kitchenaid website. Interestingly enough, the number matched directly to my mixer, right down to the color. And lo and behold, they list ONE replacement bowl. Ordered it on Amazon, got it next day and it fits perfectly. I could have done this initially but I do prefer to frequent local businesses.
I don't know if the gentleman with whom I dealt with was misinformed, or incompetent or that I don't look like their typical customer and decided he wanted to string me along to have some fun at my expense. My faith in humanity wants me to believe that it's the foremost conclusion, but regardless, it left a bad taste in my mouth and I will never return to this...
ย ย ย Read moreNo greeting no help finding a product I came in with my daughter and my 1 year old granddaughter to do some Christmas shopping and pick up some special items that we get every year for our big Italian family that comes to visit from the East coast. Sometimes people need to know when it's time to retire. The older lady at the front needs to retire I will not be coming back to your store because of her rude unexcusable attitude. It's a shame that this family lets this happen. I believe she is an owner and I hope my review and my word of mouth as an Sonoma county native will have an effect on her business. Sebastopol hardware if you have never been. This is the one stop shop for ALL your Christmas ๐๐๐๐ shopping needs. Very friendly staff, popcorn popping for their customers. I have never been so glad that Old lady at Hardistys was so rude. Thank you. I have found a GREAT STORE with everything Hardistys has and MORE!! You will learn something about customers service if you visit...
ย ย ย Read moreAs instructed by oral b, I sent in my toothbrush to this place to be fixed and serviced. This place claims the package opened in the mail and nothing was inside. When asking for the picture the service center refuses to take a picture until asked multiple times and after talking to them, I have reason to believe the electrical toothbrush was taken by this service center and never returned. I just spoke to a gentlemen who claims it was not packaged properly and it the sharp end of the tooth brush opened the corner of the package which ripped. You decide but this company does not seem legit in the slightest. I have now not been covered by this companyโs service center or Oral B. Do not trust them with your product if it needs fixing. It might be lost and they will put e...
