My entire experience from start to finish was terrible. I first called and asked if they could do curls with curlers. The man on the phone told me that it was easy enough and to come in. I showed up 15 minutes later and confirmed that I wanted curls with curlers. The man took me back to the lady who was going to do my hair and told her that I "needed a cut and color" in a demeaning tone while touching my hair. I corrected him and told the lady that I just wanted curls with curlers. The lady proceeded to take me to the back to wash my hair where she shampooed my scalp three times and completely ruined my skin barrier. Then she took me to the chair and dried my hair. Then she tried to use a Flatiron on my hair. I told her no I wanted heatless curls with curlers. She had no idea what I was talking about and insisted that they didn't do that so one of the other associates stepped in and said that they had them in the back and she just needed to go find them. The lady came back with the curlers and attempted to put two in my hair but did not put a clip in and then looked at me like I was stupid and told me they're not going to stay in my hair because of my hair texture. She then insisted that it was better to do it with a curling tool that use Heat. I showed her multiple reference photos and said that was fine if she could give me the desired results. She said that she could. By the end of that I had barely any curls my hair was very flat and looked very unprofessional. After wasting so much time before my work shift, I decided to just settle up and leave. When I got to the door, they tried to charge me $65. I have had many years of highlight, lowlight and trying different hair colors but I had left my hair alone for over 3 years to grow out and my natural color again. Thinking I wanted just a couple highlights on my natural hair or an auburn color for my underside of my hair. I saw great reviews about the company and Jessica In particular so booked an appointment. She complimented my hair on how pretty and thick it was and I informed her of what I wanted done. Well what she did was totally bleach out the whole underside of my hair (the entire time I thought this was going to be auburn) then added the few highlights on top. Imagine my surprise when she took a picture of the back of my hair and I saw it bleached out. Nothing about it was natural or looked good and I was shocked for the first time. I seriously have been stunned and saddened over this and think about that visit daily because I don’t know why she did this and she ruined my hair first time with a horrible experience in my life, since then my hair has been continuously falling out daily that I can’t run my hand through it without many strands coming out. I never reached out for them to fix it because how can they? My hair is very thin now and extremely damaged and a weird bleached under blonde. I will never go back. She didn’t listen to what I wanted and I didn’t smell bleach so I assumed it was the auburn she put in all the way till the end. I have not gotten a professional hair cut in about 2 to 3 years. I was very nervous. I was unsure where to go. I just got my hair trimmed, layered and styled by Christina. She knew exactly what I wanted and spent time with me! I feel and look fabulous! As a matter of fact, as I was walking out of the salon, a young guy in a convertible drove past and was definitely smiling at me! This salon has a comfortable setting, and I did not feel rushed! All the women look great! My hair looks and feels soo good right now, I wish I could just freeze it. Also, Christina educated me on their products but did not pressure me/force me to buy any! So when I am ready and can afford to buy products next time, I will! I could not be more thrilled at how my morning appointment went!
