On 1/31/25 I took my granddaughter to eat there. Ǐ was busy inside so we sat outside which was nice. It took a long time for the waiter to come wait on us then it was a good 20 min before our food came . They were busy inside but on the patio there was only us and another couple. My granddaughter ordered the Cheese ravioli, which came with five pieces of ravioli spread out on the plate to make it look like more and the edges were dried out. But she ate three of them so I didn’t complain. But then the bill came, which was reasonable..$36.38 when we got home, I checked my Online banking account and I noticed that there were two Purchases for the same mouth. So I called the restaurant. The first time I called, which was the next day on the first I waited online for 15 minutes.. Then when someone came on, they couldn’t help me so they took my information and told me a manager would call me. No one called. I called again the next day, which was on the second. The same Thing happened. The person on the phone told me to come to the store however I was quite far, I live in Bradenton and this restaurant is in Sarasota, which anyone that lives in Florida knows this is quite a haul with traffic. So on the fourth, I called again. Was Told that the manager wasn’t there yet And would be in at 5 o’clock I called again at 6:20 and was told he was not there yet. They took my information and said he would call me as soon as he got In. No one called in the meantime. I’m having to dispute this with my bank because no one there at that restaurant seems to know what they’re doing or even care. It would have been so much easier if someone would’ve called me back and just Took care of it. I know this seems to be the new norm because no one knows how to do anything or even cares but when you work hard for your money, even that amount is a lot out of your bank account when you’re not expecting it.I added a photo of the receipt, therefore two different amounts because the one that was the true amount had a tip on it. I had three dollars on there for a tip, but also I added a five dollar bill at the table so the gentleman would have an eight dollar tip. Read moreWe moved to a neighborhood nearby in December and have wanted to try this place. Last night, I was craving some shrimp and pasta, so we ordered take-out. I called and ordered Linguine Pescatore with white sauce, the website says: A combination of mussels, shrimp, claims (clams?) and Calamari, with your choice of white or red sauce spicey (spicy?) or not. Typos aside, this would've hit the spot.
I also ordered Chicken Alfredo, but asked if I could get it with Penne instead of Fetuccini. The young woman on the phone said sure, your order will be ready in 30 mins.
I showed up in 30 mins around 7:30PM on a Sunday night, the dining room and bar 1/3rd full. The same girl who took my order rang me up and went to check on it. While I waited a manager also greeted me and a man and his daughter asking for a table for 4. I couldn't hear the reason but the manager said they're only doing take-out orders now (maybe the time and they close at 9pm?)
Both the manager and woman who brought my food out were friendly. But, I got home and our orders were both wrong. I ended up with Linguini & clam sauce - not a shrimp to be found. And the Chicken Alfredo for my husband was Fettucini, not Penne.
I called, the same girl who took my order answered. I said - at this point, we're so hungry, I'm not calling back for you to fix my order, I just wanted you to know - I just picked up my to-go order and both meals are incorrect. I explained the mishap, and she just sat there for a long pause, and with no interest in me, said - oh, uhm, I'll get a manager and put me on hold. THE SAME GIRL who took my order, rang up my order, and handed me my order. No apology, didn't try to correct me, and maybe I had it wrong, or telling me she heard it differently. I was on hold for 5 minutes and no one came to the phone, so I hung up.
Ever REALLY REALLY crave something to be totally let down by what you chose to eat? We ate the meals anyway, not that far of a deviation from what we ordered. Read moreI’m not one to leave a negative review however I think it needs to be addressed. I made reservations 3 days ahead to accommodate 15 people. I expressed there were elderly people in my party that had physical challenges, I was assured they could accommodate. We walked in and they had no idea a party of 15 was even coming. They quickly set up outside ( which I requested) no one checked the chairs or tables to make sure it was cleaned or secured. Unfortunately one of the plastic chairs broke and my mother-in law who just had surgery fell. The staff came out to see if they could help which was kind but not one manager came to check on our table to offer any condolences or even if my mother in law was okay. Unfortunately from there it was a little hectic. Our server Viviana was absolutely fantastic. The kitchen was having issues and delays.. It wasn’t extremely busy. Our server did everything one human could do, she had no help, no backup, no manager to assist her while we waited for our food. When the food did come out, it was cold and orders were wrong. It was not our servers fault. I was in the industry for so many years and when the kitchen gets backed up or someone falls in the restaurant, management came out to at least provide an apology. Our server however continued to say she was so sorry about everything. After we were wrapping up I escorted my 90 year old Grandmother to the ladies room, there was MOLD in the bathroom, a puddle of water on the floor and you could smell the drainage wasn’t working properly. I know we all suffered during this last hurricane and there was damage to a ton of local businesses- we get it but why not try to clean the MOLD?
