I brought a watch in for a battery replacement. They replaced the battery, but were unable to close the watch. I waited 35 MINUTES for the watch to be closed, at which point, the woman in front told me, "We'll have to take it to our watchmaker." I said that wasn't an option, and I took the watch with me. I brought it to the jeweler in the Southgate Mall, who closed the watch in under five minutes.

When I got home, I saw that the chronograph was completely inoperable. It definitely was working perfectly before the battery died. I brought it back to University Park Jewelers, who disavowed any responsibility. There is no doubt that their fumbling with it caused it to malfunction.

The watch in question was not an expensive watch and should not have required any special expertise. I would not recommend University Park Jewelers to anyone...

The lady who owns the business is nice and helpful. She has a few books to look threw for different options in what your looking for like chains or rings, I got a 14kt gold pinky ring made with my birth year and a 14kt 3mm solid peruvian gold 20in diamond cut rope chain last year, April of 2024. The jewelry has held up with daily wear. The only thing I can't get over is I ordered Italian gold and that's what we had spoken about but received Peruvian gold and I didn't notice until I was checking for the 14kt marking. When I brought it up she said it's what the company sent her and she can't control it and I couldn't return it. It's still a nice chain so it is what it is. I cannot tell you what a pleasure it was to work with Taleen and her husband! I needed two necklaces shortened and had taken them to another prominent jeweler in town who treated me rudely and when quoted the price they wanted for both ($175) I promptly walked out. I decided to go to University Park Jewelers for another quote. IM SO GLAD I DID! Taleen not only showed me that the one necklace already had a slider and I could adjust myself (the other jeweler looked at it and never told me!) and then charged me a reasonable fee to shorten my other necklace!! The honesty, professionalism and kindness was such a stark contrast to the other business. And not only that- my necklace was done not the very next day!!!
