Dinner was fine and our server was great! The experience became horrible, once I got home and realized I left my IPhone on the table. My husband check find my phone app, and it showed the phone still at the Outback restaurant location. I immediately called the restaurant to asked if my phone had been turned into them. They said they would check and call me back at the number I gave them.
My husband and I jumped in the car and started back towards Outback. It took about 20 minutes to get to the restaurant. No one had called back in that time period. I immediately went to the hostess station and asked if they had my IPhone. They said no, but would check in the office. They returned and said โNo. No one turned it inโ.
We went to the table where we were sitting and asked the patrons if they saw an IPhone on the table when they were seated. They said no and actually got up and helped us search that area. It was no where in the area.
We went back to the hostess station and she said she will get the manager. The manager came out and said they do not have the phone. I insisted the phone was still here as I could see it on my husbandโs Find Your phone app. My next step was to call the Sheriff. The manager left and went into the back area. We never saw the manager again, but someone else came back out and gave me the missing IPhone and said it was at the hostess station all this time.
That was a lie since my husband had continually activated the noise option remotely to try to pinpoint the phone. No sound was in the hostess station area as we were standing right there.
Clearly, someone in back had the IPhone and only when I insisted I was not leaving until I had my phone did I get any results. Not even an apology from the manager for not returning my phone call or my phone after speaking with her. The manager must know this happens frequently at this location by her behavior towards me.
Been going to Outback Restaurants for many years and visit them frequently. This location has thieves and manager that is extremely unprofessional. We will never return to this location and suggest you guard all your valuables closely if you return...
ย ย ย Read moreDisappointment. That was our experience today at Outback. We have been enjoying Outback Steakhouse for decades. While not the fanciest steakhouse out there, they have been, until today, consistent, fairly priced, and provide good service. Today, that came to a crashing halt. We had been enjoying a beautiful day outside, building up a big hunger for Prime Rib. We were seated immediately, we got there before the rush. Our waiter was vey nice and attentive. He took our order, but promptly returned to inform us that they were out of Prime Rib. First major disappointment. I was confused as it was only a little after 4pm on a Sunday. So, I said a NY Strip. I really like steak and if not Prime Rib, NY Strip is my go to. Well, disappointment number 2. Slightly overdone. Ok, my fault. Our waiter asked if we would like to send it back and I said no after one bite. I tried another bite. Something other than doneness was not right. Tasted like vinegar. A manager came by to see how we were doing. At this point, I couldn't take it anymore. I explained my disappointment. She offered a new steak. I declined but thanked her. She did have the charge taken off the check as promised. Unfortunately, my wife had ordered chicken, but did not say until after the manager left, that the chicken was rubbery and she could not eat it. Hmmmm. Disappointment three...... Not all was a disaster. My wings were great. Salads and potato, fine/as expected. Service, very good, positive while still apologetic. This was not a waiter issue, it was simply a chef/cook issue and perhaps lower quality ingredients. I do hope this was an exception, but really was a disappointing way to finish...
ย ย ย Read moreNormally I don't rate large chain restaurants, because they have a very specific regimen and recipe no matter what you get where you get it. It's usually pretty close to the same thing no matter where you eat. So what makes the difference when it comes to a large chain restaurant? It's simple, the people who work there. Tonight's dinner was exceptional from the service to the food. We ordered the Bloomin Onion as an appetizer, my wife ordered the filet mignon and I had the ribeye. We both ordered sweet potatoes as our sides. Everything was cooked perfectly,- especially (which is strange to say) the Bloomin Onion. It was absolutely perfect. When it came out it looked like it came out of a commercial and it tasted fantastic. I'm sure at some point everyone has ordered a blooming onion and it may have been a little overcooked or maybe smaller or bigger than what the pictures look like. However, tonight was not like that. It was absolutely perfect and it tasted phenomenal. I just want to say thank you to all those who participated. I can imagine that working in a restaurant is a lot like a team sport. No one employee is any less important than another and it only takes one to have a bad experience. So again, I'd like to say thank you to the entire team that worked tonight. Starting with Marco who prepared the blooming onion. Big thanks! Dylan and Andrew who were on the grill and prepared our steaks perfectly. Tyler, who is the manager on duty and was nice enough to get me everybody's first name. Taylor- You have an excellent team there. They deserve at least a well-deserved thank you from you. From my wife and I thank you to your...
