Amazing quality food and great people. A close Peruvian friend guided us to the halibut at this shop as the closest option for making a true ceviche (and his standards are ridiculously high). Halibut is the closest to the traditional local Peruvian fish and Saratoga Meat and Fish are the best south bay source for incredibly fresh fish. The fish at this place is amazing — I have been using for ceviche sashimi and poke but yes it can be cooked too) and the pricing was not cheap but frankly has either been amazing value for the quality vs price or the same price and better quality than Whole Foods and Lunardis. They also have an amazing meat selection — unique sourcing — but most importantly the people here including the owner are wonderfully knowledgeable, professional but most importantly good, straightforward and kind. It’s a pleasure to do business here. I usually call ahead to confirm what is fresh sometimes waiting a few hours to catch a different inbound fish I hadn’t anticipated but they always have very fresh fish and great meat...
Read moreExcellent! I’ve been in Cupertino, San Jose for 3 weeks on work assignment. You can only eat at a restaurant so many times so I’ve been buying meat from the big name grocery stores. Don’t expect much from them. Decided to find a local meat shop to grill a proper steak. I was not disappointed. Bought a prime NY steak. If you know your way around a grill this steak can’t be beat. Cook it to 130-135 and pull it, let rest for 5, med rare for the win. It was pricey so for an every day steak I wouldn’t but if you want to impress guest or for the weekend splurge hit these guys up. I’m here for another 4 weeks and will definitely be visiting this shop a few more times. Also the staff were very helpful and happy to get you what you need.
I would have added photos but I was to busy thinking of how good it was going to be to think about...

I forget his name but totally cool dude that made me feel like we were old friends. The 5 minutes i was in their left me with the feeling that i just visited a special place. Cut me 2 killer ribeyes threw in some seasoning, some good advice on grilling and the best beef brisket sandwich ive ever tasted all for free. I did spend $120 on 2 fat ribeyes that ended being the best tasting steak ive ever eaten so money well spent. I even spoke breifly with another customer a lady who asked me what i got. Sweet older lady that was friendly as could be. Im from a small town 4 hours away from Saratoga but it sure felt like...
