This store is clean and organized. However, I have to give it 2 stars because I have been to this location twice in 3 months and both times I decided to check the manufacturer's website to compare pricing. Both times DSW was priced more than the manufacturer. One was priced $100 higher (boots) and one was priced $20 higher (flats). I ordered the shoes from the manufacturer and did not purchase from DSW.
I went in with my mom because she wanted a pair of boots for her birthday. We found a pair and they were advertised as being $189.99, "compared to" originally being over $200. I decided to go to the manufacturers website to compare pricing and I found the exact same boots for less than $100.
The flats I purchased today were made by Aldo. They were advertised at DSW as if the customer would be saving $20 "compared to" originally being $80. When I went on the manufacturer's website though, DSW's "sale price" was actually the full price for the shoes.
I understand that DSW follows whatever pricing model they have, but when they advertise on the shoe displays that you're saving money "compared to" the original price, it doesn't sit well when I find that they are charging full retail or even more. It is very...
Read morethis is a good place to get shoes at a low cost most of the problem is if you need wide shoes they are few and far between. As for the coupons where they give away free stuff the best thing to do is go as early as you can because people scoop the freebies up early and the store always runs out of Free bags for women. (Not a good Program) this is why I give only 4 stars. the selection is great, for what they have. Parking is not the greatest because now with the Party store there and Savers the lot can be a bit full. I would recommend the store at the North shore mall in Peabody there is plenty of parking there. this one is right on route 1 in saugus, MA. as for running out of free items they give with coupons if they are out all of the stores should put a sign up saying...
Read moreI had to pick up shoes for my wife & paid with a credit card & the cashier asked for a phone # for a discount... then when I paid, she said the discount comes in the mail & it wasn't immediate.. I told her I did not want to be signed up for anything & she assured me I was not signed up for anything. Now, I get a daily text message from DSW, that I reply "STOP" to, & it replies back that I will no longer receive messages... but then the next day, I get a brand new text message about savings & discounts... I reply "STOP".. it tells me I won't receive them anymore.. & yet, I still receive them. I called the customer service # & they told me that once an account is created it can never be deleted... NEVER. they can however, opt me out of text...
