I have to say this is my third time visiting this location with my kids. This is one of their favorite places to go. This location and the one In Flushing that just opened last month. First visit here, the kids had a blast. Second visit here, this location had wifi issues and when we scan the claw machines, it was having so much problems we kept calling for the worker to check. On some occasion, we were missing out some credits. The workers advised we donât lose credit when it was having problems but it did and we just shrugged it off. Today, I visited this location again with the kids and we had a blast. The only exception was the cashier. She was rude and gave us problems when we asked for another bag for the plushies. She said we are only allow to get one bag for 5 plushes. We had 17 plushes between my kids and nieces. What is the big deal asking for a second bag when my kids and sister were all holding plushes in their arms. We had to count in front of her so she can give us another bag. We didnât want the plushes to get dirty when weâre heading to the food court. Not only that each time we come here we spend $$$. Today between my sisters and I, we spent $350 just so the kids can have fun. That amount could have bought tons of plushies off Temu or Miniso but the point is we are there for the kids to have fun. Attach is a screenshot of my payment alone for my kids and not my...
Read moreMy recent visit to Gatcha, the claw machine arcade, introduced me to a novel and enjoyable experience. The blend of an clawcade and a play park for kids is a unique concept, making it a diverse entertainment hub.
The highlight for me was the 'trade-in and trade-up' system for prizes. This feature adds a fun twist to the usual arcade experience, as you can exchange smaller wins for bigger and better rewards, keeping the excitement alive.
The variety and quality of the claw machines are commendable, offering something for every skill level. It was refreshing to see a mix of traditional and modern prizes, from plush toys to Legos.
However, on a personal note, I found the indoor play park for kids less appealing. The noise from the play area can be overwhelming, and I believe that space could be better utilized for additional claw machines or perhaps an adult-oriented section like a bar. This would enhance the experience for adult visitors who are more focused on the arcade aspect.
In summary, Gatcha is a great destination with a unique arcade experience. While the concept of combining a play area for kids and an arcade is innovative, catering a bit more to the adult audience could make it even better. I'm curious to see how Gatcha evolves and look forward to my next visit. Would love to see one of these come to New Bedford or the surrounding area as it is currently a...
Read moreIt's clean! It's indoors! It's fun for littles! It's open late! The employees are super nice! I literally LOVE this place, I am obsessed. As the parent of a 3 year old, it's been great to have a place close by for bad-weather days, and it's inside the mall, which always has parking, as well as other stores and food court... Gatcha has a 30-day pass for $45, well worth it, you can come every day for 1.5 hours but they let you stay longer if it's quiet. I've never been asked to leave. They also have cubbies for your shoes etc, and lockers in the back if you want to lock your items while you play. This is definitely for the 5 and under crowd. There is a claw-machine arcade which, if you like claw machines, looks pretty cool. A ton of cute plushies to win, and a lot of cute anime / manga / cute Japanese legos, toys, etc to buy as well. Deeply thankful this place came to Square One! (Which is fast becoming a way more interesting and diverse mall and I for one am...
