Purchased a puppy about a month ago, they sold us a sick puppy. We noticed kennel cough as soon as we got home. Spoke with both the manager and owner to discuss, both were unhelpful. Kennel cough is SEVERELY contagious, which means if our pup has it, every single dog in the store also has it. Both the manager, Anthony and the co-owner, John claim they would never sell dogs which they knew were sick. We were told my Anthony, the store manager who is also related to the owners, that the reviews of people's dogs becoming sick, etc were all crazy animal activists who have never even been to the store or purchased a dog. But, my husband and I experienced first hand that these dogs are sick, and the owners and managers are KNOWINGLY selling sick, unwell animals, and they not only refused to admit it but treated it as a business transaction and wouldn't work with us. I would like to warn anyone and everyone, PLEASE do NOT buy animals from this store. These people are crooks and its all about the bottom line-- money. They do NOT care about their customers, or the animals and its very sad. Our puppy became lethargic, weak and wouldn't eat for days. They will tell you in the store that the dogs become sick because people don't take them to the vet, etc-- THAT IS NOT TRUE. We did everything we were supposed to, took care of this puppy as if it were a newborn child, nursed her and took her to the vet 3 times in 30 days, and still we were blamed by the owners and they wouldn't even admit their fault. Awful business and people running it-- so disappointed and afraid for our dogs life. Now her lung function is compromised as well as her immune system at such a young age. We paid $3000 for a SICK animal and their only response was, "so do you want to return the dog then?" Of course we don't want to return her, she's our baby now, we love her and want to care for her. Walked into the pet express in Saugus my father fell in love with the Pomeranian there and he wanted to see the price and if he can play with it. So we walked up to the register there was a girl there helping someone out. We waited and she saw us, after she helped the elder people in front of us she just looked at my father and I and walked by. I looked at my boyfriend like wow she going to ignore us. 2 min later she asked what can help us with we told her about the Pomeranian she gave us a look and said ok this room it might be dirty tho. I said it's okay she brought the dog to us and she was soo rude giving us dirty looks and we were asking questions about the dog and if he comes with all his shots. She was giving us a hard time I had to ask for his price twice. We were with the dog for about 3 min she's like are you done with him. I looked at both my dad and my boyfriend and said yes she's then open the dog grab the dog in a rude way. This was the worst experience ever. Now she's like that with people imagine how she is with those poor animals such a rude person with no manners whatsoever. The best thing is she didn't give me the price she gave it to my boyfriend. I purchased my puppy on 8/31 due to the long weekend I was not able to take her in for her visit to the veterinarian within the first 7 days as instructed. I called the shop and advised on what to do next the stated that I had a 6 day extension. Once I got her to the vet they stated that I will not be granted the extension and I will have to pay out of pocket for a sick visit as she has a cough! I say okay of Course as I want her checked out and well. She comes back as having kennel cough and needs antibiotics, I leave a stool sample as well to be sent off and they will call me with any issues on that, so $200 visit later we go home. I get a phone call 2 days later my baby girl has 2 very dangerous parasites and needs “3” more antibiotic and an aggressive treatment of medicine also highly contagious to humans !!! $166.00 more.. Mind you I have a “1” yr old grandson at my home... I call pet express I get advised that she has a 14 day warranty to be returned or exchanged! REALLYYYYY! so bring her back to you so she doesn’t get any treatment at all and dies, how about heck no!
