Went to this restaurant only because of the reviews. Very disappointed. Ordered appetizers to be brought prior to the meal. Asked the waitress Camellia after about 20 minutes when the appetizers would be served she said in a few minutes. Comes back with the meals we ordered in hand and then wants to give us the appetizers. Not at all exceptable when we stated we wanted them prior to the meal. Then get the chicken gyros with more lettuce and tomato than chicken. The restraurant was not packed and people breaking down the walls and there was plenty of help. She only offered excuses and no one wants to hear that when there are plenty of other restaurant choices around. Customer service has gone to the way side when it comes to businesses nowadays. They feel there owed something when they provide bad service and that is not how that works. Get better and do better. The lighting in this place was light in one spot dark in another it was an eery feeling barely could read the menu and the spot we where seated had to constantly be bothered with the noise of the waitresses putting the dirty dishes in containers behind our heads. Needless to say will never visit this location on vacation again. Also the response from the owner was very rude and the fact if your going to respond please learn how to spell. I had already told the waitress I was not going to leave a good review. Train your people better and you won't have those problems. Sounds like after looking at other bad reviews that this has...

Would not recommend this restaurant based on customer service alone. We were in town on a weekend vacation and came here to eat. Walked in as a party of 9 and were immediately refused service and told “Nope, we just sat a party of 9 so we aren’t taking you”. We said we could sit at different tables and were told “Nope, not doing it”. Not one person in our party has EVER been told that we couldn’t dine at a restaurant because of our party size. We have been to restaurants in bigger groups and of course we had to wait on a table but never refuse service and told we could not dine there. I have no idea where they got their customer service skills from but it was good for us because we went down the street to Frank’s and were welcomed right in !!!! No wait at all and we had the absolute best waiter who received a very generous tip from us! The lady who was seating people on 5/3/25 at about 2-2:30pm, go see Matt from Franks place and allow him to teach you a bit about customer service. Being someone who has worked in hospitality and food service for over 25 years, any staff or employee who said that to customers would immediately be terminated but I guess that’s how this...

Nice little local joint in downtown Sault Ste Marie Michigan. We love Greek food, so this was a great find for us. The reviews were decent, so we walked in & were seated pretty quickly even though the place was packed at about 2 in the afternoon on a weekday. The inside of this place smells like an old-timey diner. So nostalgic!

My husband got one of their bugers with fries, and I got the chicken souvlaki with a Greek salad.

My husband said his burger was excellent, and the fries were dynamite! I couldn't stop "sharing" them with him. :D

My souvlaki was very well seasoned & nicely cooked. The chicken chunks were juicy and tender. The greek salad was on point, fresh & all the requisite components! The tzatziki sauce was the best I've had anywhere. I do wish the meal had come with more feta, and at least one pita. But overall it was a terrific meal, and the server was very pleasant and efficient.

We were jonesing for some baklava, but the person who makes it for them was off due to a family emergency, so no baklava. I bet it's...

While the food was tasty at Zorba's, I was expecting authentic Greek food. The very name along with the declaration on the canopy on the front of the building lead me to believe that I would get authentic Greek food. The menu for the Gyro reads "slow roasted meat" which made me hope that the kitchen had it's own spit. The meat on my Gyro didn't come from an in-house spit, each piece was identical in shape and dimension leading this customer to believe that the meat was not made in house, just thawed and reheated. Then there's the Bruschetta appetizer. That's neither Greek nor American! That's Italian, but I guess if you take out the Italian bread and throw the Basil and tomatoes e a grilled pita, I guess that makes it a Greek appetizer. $18.00 for the Gyro, appetizer and 2 cans of soda. Service was adequate.

When we entered the restaurant, we where greeted right away and sat down and oder are drinks, After placing are order and slowly sipping are wine after 30 mins we finched are drinks and where asked of we would like a refills and declined and got some waters thinking are food would arrive quickly, We wanted an hour and 15 mins before getting the attention of another waitress as ares had totally forgotten us, and found out they lost are food. So we where offered free drinks on the house from the owner who was there and did not even come out to apologize for are long wait, in the end we waited an hour and half for food which was good but not worth the price tag, but the waitress which was over worked appolgized and made things right.

I moved to the Soo from Chicago 6 years ago, so I have high standards for the food here, and Zorba's meets it EVERY time. Something I pay attention to when eating out is the cuts of vegetables and fruits in different dishes. in the pic you can see how finely chopped the cucumber and onion are. These guys have awesome knife skills! The lettuce was some of the freshest I've had recently. The fries are always SO crispy, but I often get the salad with the dishes because it tastes just as good. You can grab some grub like the gyro sandwich, or treat yourself to a healthy yummy Greek salad - everything is equally good! I also love coming here on dates or taking my family out because of the cozy atmosphere :)
