I always enjoy visiting this used & new book shop when in the Soo. I always find amazing gems here - great used finds and new books too. The bookstore cat is a favorite, I always stop for a pet. :) The owners are really nice and always chat with me. There is a variety of items for everyone, from children's books of all varieties, to mystery and fiction, to romance and biography, to Michigan-related books and many, many other categories. It's a bookstore for everyone. Well organized, nice art from locals and around the state. I bought an original painting of Smaug flying around a mountain based on the Lord Of the Rings that was very well done with beautiful colors. It was only $50 and I love it. I don't know how I missed this gem on previous trips to the Soo. I used to love going to Book World. When it folded, I assumed there weren't any other independent booksellers around.
