Went there today for lunch around 2 o'clock, the place was not busy. I ordered a ceaser salad, deep fried cheese curds, a diet coke and my wife ordered a hamburger with Swiss and mushrooms. Didn't receive our drinks until I asked for them. Drinks were left on the counter so I grabbed them as it seems it is self serve. I paid up front. The bill was 38.96. I included a tip and my bill was 45.00. I got the cheese curds first, very over cooked and were nasty, I wouldn't let my dogs eat them. Our plates were brought out and set under heat lamps where the front workers would bring them to us as we witnessed earlier. After 3 minutes I grabbed the burger and the salad, (note to staff, a salad doesn't go under a heat lamp) the burger was over cooked, my ceaser salad I had to ask for more dressing and that didn't help. My reviews are 98 percent good to applaud people and companies. 45 bucks and I was only happy with a diet coke, my wife needed tums a few hours later after eating and she had water. I wouldn't let my dogs eat there. They might have great brews but stay away from the food, totally sucks and a...

I stopped by on an early Saturday evening, and I have to say, the management and owner of this brewery really need to reconsider how they run things. Having just one bartender and one cook for the whole place on a busy summer Saturday is just not enough. Honestly, the bartender and the cook were amazing—they worked their tails off and really kept things going. It’s clear they were doing everything they could.

If you know your staff are going to be stretched thin, it might help to pitch in a little—pour some beers, run food, or even just put down the umbrellas when a storm hits so the lone worker doesn’t have to handle everything alone. The beer wasn’t great either—it kind of tasted like hand soap—and paying $14 for basic chicken fingers and fries felt a bit disappointing. Still, the staff’s effort was definitely...

I read good reviews and thought the combination of brewery and winery would fit perfectly for my husband and I, but the waiter behind the bar really created a negative atmosphere that the other customers in the restaurant noticed as well. I am fine with the set up ordering at the bar and picking it up yourself, but this kid basically have you attitude for coming into the place. Every question we asked was received with attitude and yes or no answers, like.. can you tell me about the white zin? No. Oh ok.. they had 3 wines and a few fruit options, and 2 beers. The food was good but average. Maybe a better place with the boy not there but really disappointed we wasted our time there on our trip. They did have clean...

This is probably a great college student hang out. For the Gen X crowd not so much. Had floaties in my wine which was the redeemer of this spot. Not the floaties but the replacement wine. The peach apricot fruit wine was delicious. The view is probably great too but it was too hot today for us to go on the rooftop. The pretzel was huge and the mustard was sweet and spicy. The cheese was okay. The pizza crust had a good flavor but the sauce was runny and the cheese congealed quickly making it quite limp. We had to find our own silverware to eat the limp pizza. We had to ask for our box and receipt, while the wait staff played on their phones, with their nails and gossiped. Moral of the story go for the wine, apps and view.

Was visiting Soo Locks, and was excited to find a brewery up there, only to be disappointed by both beer and foods. To be fair, they were still not in full operation (July '21): multitasking bartenders, no waiters/waitresses, paper plates & plastic utensils, very limited menu. Their tap menu was only limited to 3 offerings (and 1 was out, so really just 2 - amber & IPA). The IPA was just so-so (boring) at best. Food took forever and was only so-so (barely mediocre), too. Generously giving 3 stars (instead of 2) here, considering the COVID impact. If I ever re-visit this area when they are back to full operation, I'll try them again to revise this review.

Soo Brewery was my recent destination via Whitefish Bay scenic highway. Make all the stops and take in a hike, wet your feet in the sandy Shallows, or view the lighthouse along the route. The craft beer here is outstanding! I love the Old English IPA and the Maggie’s Red. These two are about 7% ABV, so slow down and enjoy the flavor. Hungry? Handmade pizza is a mainstay at Soo Brewery and you won’t be disappointed. Stroll the streets of historic Sault Ste. Marie afterwards or view one of the great freighters as they pass through the Soo Locks.
