Batteries Plus — Local services in Schaumburg Township

Unfortunately, Google doesn't let me rate them zero stars...they don't deserve any! BUYER BEWARE- DO NOT SHOP HERE ! I went to do a return at this location and because I had fraud on my credit card and their policy according to the store manger is that the refund has to go on the EXACT card that was used, they wouldn't issue a refund. The credit card company cancelled my card , I don't even have it! I offered to just spend the $$ in the store and they refused to allow that as well. I called Corporate and they contacted the owner who after some time told them that someone would be calling from the store to issue my refund. It's been over a Month and I still don't have a refund. I have made 4 calls, 1 to the store and 3 to Corporate and they just keep putting me off and tell me that "they are looking into it." The owner nor Corporate care at all one bit about their customers. I have given them ample opportunity to handle my return and I hesitated to post here because I wanted them to resolve the situation but I am convinced that they aren't even competent enough to figure it out. Corporate has no idea what the franchise stores are doing and clearly the franchisee is an absentee owner who doesn't resolve customer issues. I get it, everyone is short staffed and it is difficult right now...I have been more than patient with them but am over it at this point. I will also be contacting the BBB since I have been lied to and denied a refund that I am entitled to.

Terrible experience here. Looking for a new battery for my wife’s car stumble upon Batteries plus bulbs offering car battery install with purchase. Sounds good right? So I ordered a battery through them online and set up an appointment for the following week…fast forward to the following week about an hour before my appointment time I get a call from them saying they just realized they don’t have my battery that I ordered about a week ago and they have to get it transferred over from another location. Okay irritating that they didn’t make sure of this for the past few days but not the end of the world. Except that’s not all, I call the next day to see if the battery is in and they tell me it is and I should come around 230 PM for the install. So I let my wife know to head there after work and she rushed over after to work and I meet her there to make sure everything Is okay and well, I’m sure happy I did because it doesn’t seem like they have much experience in installing car batteries because they couldn’t do a simple battery install even though they started to remove the old battery already and realized they couldn’t complete the install 🤦🏻‍♂️. WOW! Where do I begin? I won't be going anywhere else for a battery in the future. I called in to see if they had a battery for my car. I talked to Mike and he said to come in and we will check your battery and your car. They tested my battery and gave me all of the information on it. We then went into the store and he looked up the battery that I needed for my car. Told me that I can have a battery with a 12 month warranty on it or a 36 month warranty. He looked up to see if changing the battery would reset anything in the car, he found out that it would reset the radio and the windows and was thorough and double checked with his boss. We ordered the battery and I went in the next day and Mike was in and his co-worker Iiyah installed the battery. His co-worker knew that if you kept the car running it wouldn't reset anything in the car. The car actually is running better and the song title shows up every time now when I play music in my car. Also, I asked if they could clean my phone and they took care of it. I appreciate everything that they did for me. Ask for Mike, he will take great...
