American Mattress — Hotel in Schaumburg Township

I would give them negative stars if possible. I was downgrading my current bed to save space and thus required a simple metal frame instead of the sleigh design I was using. As I've never owned just a simple metal bed frame I had many questions as to how they where constructed and the option in the future if I wanted to add on. The staffs customer service was horrible. They did not answer my questions completely. They at sever times during the 3 calls dismissed my concerns with statement such as "Your over thinking this", "just come on in", "sir I need to get off the phone as other guests have come in". I called back later with my wife on the conference call only to have them hang up on me. Today when I requested to have owners contact info to reach out to the owners to share my displeasure the proclaimed regional manager told me "I'm not privy to that information" and told me the reason the call was disconnected was due to their portable phones. The only reason I ended up still buying the frame from them was cost related. They did assist my wife in loading the frame into vehicle but even at that point made a smart a@s comment about a sticker on my vehicle that stated, "welcome to America, now speak English". Not only was it completely unprofessional to criticize customers freedom of speech but this led me to believe American Mattress in Schaumburg takes issue with proud Americans. Do yourself a favor and stay away. I am still seeking to get ahold of ownership and will be purchasing the rest of our bedding...

My parents went one day to make a purchase at this location. Hours later, they went to Sams Club and saw the SAME EXACT mattress for almost half the price. So like any buyer would do, they wanted to cancel their order. I called on behalf of my parents and spoke to JAMES PICARDI who is the manager at this location. When I called and said I wanted to speak to him since his name was on the receipt, he sounded very nice, but as soon as I said I wanted to cancel my parents order I noticed a change of tone in his voice. When he asked why I simply stated that my parents found the same mattress at a different location for cheaper and he just didn't want to believe me. I told him he can go ahead and check for himself. And his response was "I spent a lot of time with then". Now that may have been the case, but in no circumstances do you as a customer service let alone a manager do you make those types of comments. I worked as a customer service rep for over 6 years and I know in my training they emphasized to always try to accommodate a customer since you're representing the company you work for. So when I said to him that you don't make those comments he was very defensive and very rude with his attitude and tone of voice. He did not want to assist me over the phone where he could have simply saved us a trip to go in the store and make a refund. So whoever wants to make a purchase from this location I would advise you to steer away from...

Great place to shop and buy! Great customer service and many options. You defiantly can find a mattress to fall in love with at any budget. Went to mattress firm and ArtVan....can go on and on of how a horrible experienc my parents and I had. Nice and sort, over priced, pushy stuck up sales reps. And no negotiations. Purchased three mattress for three rooms in past six months and if needed would by more at the store in hoffman estates. Don't let the big store fronts, advertising and many locations deceive you from mattress firm artvan and others. Nice company to do bussiness with and go home feeling your hard earned money was well spent and not over pay while getting a quality mattress for years to come. Finally, very knowledgeable on which seems different style mattress every year. They have the trends and are very informative on the qualities each mattress has. Do yourself a good deed, stop by the Hoffman estates location and see for yourself. Most Likely you'll purchase a mattress and enjoy it or they will allow you to exchange it for something else you'll like which happend to my mother. Hope this helped encourage you to...
