Fruitful Yield — Local services in Schaumburg Township

I used to primarily do my shopping at fruitful yield. The staff was kind, the atmosphere was less chaotic than other stores and they had most of what I needed. Now I find that I only go there for their juice bar; a lot of the produce on shelf is old/moldy, their prices are higher than competitors and their hours don’t seem to support a drive to welcome customers. 10AM is far too late to open a store like this, especially on weekends. The juice bar alone keeps me coming back, but I’ve had inconsistencies here as well. Most days someone is very happy to greet you and take your order, no issues when asking for add ins such as protein, etc. however recently I had gone in and was treated so rudely by a staff member I was taken aback. Before I had a chance to order I could tell she was irritated that I was there for a smoothie. She made several annoyed/impatient faces and gave me a hard time when I asked for an add in, and then used my free smoothie credit without even asking me. It was the first and only time I’ve had so many issues in one visit. I will continue to shop here when other options are scarce, but it’s truly easier and more cost friendly to shop at...

I spent Saturday evening searching for a specific Now Food product the manufacturer's website said Out of stock. It showed in this store. I dread going to this store but I figured they had no customers Sunday morning. When I walked in, I had not looked or touched an Item the "people " showed up from nowhere asking if "I found everything OK" with interesting faces. When I finally found the item, the lady at the register asked the same question. I explained that I was the only customer at the time, one customer left without all the harrassment. She was aware that I was asked by 2 other people before. I told her that question is intimidating because I was in her view the entire time. I also told her that if Vitamin shoppe carried more Now Food brands, I prefer going there but they don't have the item. I had no choice but to go here. I spent less than 2 to 3 minutes because the item is normally in the Protein section. I am NO LONGER A CUSTOMER. I come here cause they are one of the few places that has a good selection of gluten free stuff (i have celiac disease) but alot of time i get my stuff i come home to find that most stuff is out of date like not a few days either like a month or more out of date. The first time i didnt check the date at the store but came home and checked it was over two months expired. Then the next couple times i went i checked the dates on stuff and they were expired.my mom called and told them and they fixed it and stuff. But then i went last week and not one but two things were expired fortunately one of the things i put back and didnt buy unfortunately i bought something that was expired. I try to look at all the dates but sometimes im in a hurry and cant. i expect products to be in date not weeks or months expired.
