DXL Big + Tall — Local services in Schaumburg Township

I went to this DXL store because it had gotten uncomfortably cold out in Chicago. I needed long johns, and gloves. I was immediately helped by a store clerk (Nathan) whom advised me immediately on where the gloves could be located. After finding the right pair of gloves, he assisted me with finding appropriate thermals (apparently long johns are a trademarked name.). I then advised that I may need a pair of shoes for the upcoming snow that I knew would be coming, he pointed me to some shoes that had amazing grip, and was quite comfortable to wear. We discussed jackets as well, but at this point, my jacket is thick enough to withstand this cold.

I hate shopping at big and tall stores. I hate the shape of my body, and focusing on that has always made me feel uncomfortable. The clerk that helped me at this location was professional, knowledgeable, and absolutely fantastic. Thank you for employing Nathan, a person whom made me feel welcome, and helped me with everything I needed. After our horrible experience down the street at Men’s Warehouse, Nathan at DXL was a godsend.

From the second we walked in, Nathan was friendly, helpful, and non-judgmental. He helped us get what we needed and was so great to work with. Nathan also showed us their other clothing and shoe options, and we ended up buying a few golf shirts, as well. The other staff also checked on us and were just as friendly and pleasant.

Fabulous customer care and interaction from staff. They were very busy but made each customer feel important. My hubby is very tall and football player size and although most shirts were not in his tall size in stock, the staff gladly ordered them on line with free shipping to our home direct! We walked out with two full bags of clothing, so no problem waiting for a couple of special pieces. Great experience on a busy Saturday afternoon - we go to this store about 3 times a year and make large purchase every time as we are about 1.5 hours away.
