Quest Diagnostics — Local services in Schaumburg Township

I cannot recommend Quest Diagnostics to anyone seeking professional, reliable care! I will instead take myself and my daughter to a hospital for lab work, where professionalism, manners, and patient care are prioritized.

I scheduled a 2:30 PM appointment for my daughter at the Hoffman Estates location through the Quest app. Upon arrival at 2:28 PM, I checked in at the kiosk and via a text link. Despite following these steps, we waited over 33 minutes while others with later appointments were called ahead of us.

When I inquired about the delay, one staff member repeatedly assured me she would check but failed to follow through. Another staff member (a male phlebotomist) responded to my concerns with aggression, interrupting and lecturing me in front of others (including in front of my sick daughter who was needing the labs in the first place!) ...instead of addressing the issue, also forgetting the fact that my daughter and I have been waiting for over 30 minutes! He dismissed my explanation that I was following Quest's check-in instructions and told me I should have been monitoring the public screen—a screen that clearly violates HIPAA by displaying patient names.

This lack of professionalism, coupled with communication challenges and the dismissive attitude of staff, left me deeply frustrated and questioning the competency of this location. If you value your time, don't come here. I will have to redo my daughter's labs elsewhere. Who knows if the lab results are legit after...

My wife had to have bloodwork on 09/28/2021 around 2:00 PM at the Hoffmann Estate location, just before that i had my colonoscopy at nearby Amita Health, when we entered the lab i was feeling urge to pee, so my wife requested the lab lady in there to let me (her husband) use the restroom. She told to my wife that because your husband is not having any test here so she cannot allow him to use the restroom, in the meantime I had to wait for my wife blood sample to be taken, the lab lady could not locate my wife's vein easily to draw the blood and she took much time to take the sample, my condition became worse due to holding the urine and it developed much back pressure on my urinary track and completely blocked the flow of my urine, so i had to go to the Emergency Room of Amita Health and they inserted Catheter to drain the urine. Because of the Lab Asian technician refusal to let me use the restroom when it was badly needed by me put me on catheter. Quest diagnostic must check this behavior of the lab lady and if this is the policy of the Quest diagnostic not to allow anyone accompanying the patient to use their restroom then it is...

IF I COULD GIVE THIS ZERO STARS I WOULD. Let me start off by making sure you have some bogus confirmation code for your appointment that is never texted or given to you unless you’re listening to the robot that you can hardly hear. Make our next appointment with everyone it’s at 3:20 for a drug test & the overly bleached blonde stated that the drug test stop 3. Then I as his wife go in and notice that in the sign in screen it said that 3:30 was the last appt for drug testing. We were there before 3:30 waiting at 3:20. The overly bleached blonde lady ended being the RUDEST LADY. She states that they all can so drug tests but can’t do it now. Even though I saw plenty of employees on their phones and doing tik tok videos. There was a full waiting room. The doctor left supposedly at 3 and the overly bleached blonde lady started yelling and screaming saying u needed to make another appointment & also was yelling to others that the place was closed. The lady also spat at me which is gross while I was leaving. I’m not sure who there hiring but time...
