I was not going to write this, but it is overdue. I would not move here. The fact that there are numerous people with 5 star reviews, tells me they have probably never lived at a newly constructed building where they are the first to live in that space. This isn't my first rodeo. This isn't it. First off, they never deliver what they promise in a timely manner. They often do not answer the phones and if they dont answer phones, you know they will not respond to emails either. And do not. This started with my quartz counter tops. I noticed one was blemished, ashy and dull. I reported this and made sure they knew that is was defective. After reporting the issue, the first time I received a call to let me know they would be entering my unit to take a look, which was no problem. The second time, I received zero notice and they not only damaged my spoons, forks, knives etc.. with some sort of solution, but they also tarnished my stainless steel stove. They left my items in complete disorder and did not put anything back the way they found it, just disrespectful. They left a dirty rag soiled with the solution in my sink on top of clean dishes I was letting air dry. They left a complete mess! It took days for this issue to even be addressed. When they finally fixed the counter, the stove did not work for two days because they unplugged it and also flipped the breaker and did not turn it back on! After this sh** show, I stressed that I did not want anyone in my apartment without my knowing about it first (Hello, COVID-19). Now, let's talk about this stove. Rudy, the maintenance tech, had promised for weeks to get new parts to my stove to rectify the issue. He brought the bottom part of the stove and replaced it. I guess they thought I would forget about the other part. So, I saw him in the hall one day and decided to ask him when he would be fixing the rest of the issue. At that point, he promised me a brand new stove altogether. Now that regional is in the office, I made sure to place a call to check on the new stove, which I was told would be delivered. Now all of a sudden, they are replacing the door to the stove and not replacing it altogether. Let me point out that the stove was damaged with scratch marks on the top panel from who knows what when I first moved in (No one does walkthroughs with you). So, since they play petty, I want to make sure the email I sent to the regional fella yesterday with pictures is documented with damages ( He has yet to respond to that email). I do not want an issue when I move out. Also, I will attach pictures for you all to see. Because you can play with a lot of things, but you cant and wont play with my money. We pay too much money for poor quality. And, it is cheaply built. Oh, we also have not received a water bill. EVER. I am tired of...
Read moreUpdate: Since I moved in, there has been several problems with this property. It appears that they accepted residents and the property was not prepared to open.
There is very little organization- when I moved in there was no general welcome email explaining details for the move-in. For example, Where to park the U-Haul, elevator to utilize for move in, who to pay the water bill to, the process for 2 months free rent.
Additionally, I had packages shipped here. Initially, the packages were not delivered to the Luxer system. They were left out in the office area. The staff could not help me located a package that Amazon reported as “delivered to the mailroom”. 2 weeks later, I inquired about the package and it was located in the Luxer system the whole time.
Unplanned fire alarms is HORRIBLE. The alarms go off in the mornings. Making it impossible to work from home or relax.
The staff in the office never answer the office phone. Every-time you have a question, you have to walk to the office to speak with a staff member.
Exterior doors are left open by construction workers, and anyone can enter the building. At one point, squatters were staying in unlocked units.
While the apartments are stunning, the customer service is horrible. There is no security officer or courtesy officer on the property.
The gate breaks in the garage, and anyone can follow you in the parking garage.
There is trash in the elevator- they do not appear to have a cleaning agency for the complex.
AND the barista is not here in the mornings as promised to make coffee.
I hope this review helps you with your decision to stay here. I wish I knew everything before I signed a lease to this property. For now, go to the Baxter or Inkwell if you must live in this area. I’m sorry; however, this is simply not professional or appropriate. Just horrible.
Original Review: I had the opportunity to check these apartments out a couple weeks ago, and I was assisted by Darrell. I arrived close to their closing time, and he was more than willing to help. As we began searching for the perfect apartment, he really to the time to gather information about my personal needs. From there he had a positive attitude, and showed as many units as he could! After three visits, I signed a lease! I’m so happy that he was able to help me find the best place to live. The unit that I selected is excellent, and meets my needs. I’m happy to be moving in soon! Thanks for you help Darrell, you have excellent...
Read moreI want to convince myself that this place is worth the trouble since the location is amazing and basically everything is within reach, but I’m at my wits ends right now. Don’t move here. The first month I moved in the AC wasn’t working and they did put in a compact AC machine but it was very loud. That got fixed after a few weeks but now there’s MASSIVE water damage that’s spreading through my apartment. I’ve sent in around 5 service requests about this issue now. The maintenance team is amazing (special shout out to Alvin and Rudy) but I had my furniture damaged from the water spreading. I literally can’t use my bedroom (in a studio apartment) since the water keeps returning and I don’t want my mattress destroyed. The place again is beautiful, the gym is nice, the pool is nice, but the actual units are a nightmare since everything is breaking! It’s a new place but they clearly didn’t build it properly. The gate breaks every other month, the hot tub also breaks, elevators breaks, get the warnings? Packages are lost/stolen the moment Luxor places them in the storage room instead of the secured boxes. If you live facing MOD pizza or Dunkin Doughnuts you’ll constantly hear the honking and music people play out there (I live right next to Scott crossing sign so it’s constantly loud and constantly lighted up at night). The valet trash is around $35 and is mandatory. You need to use the cheap trashcans that come with the unit or you’ll be fined (Seriously don’t throw them out or else you’ll be fined), the trash can can only be left out between 6-8PM or you’ll be fined (I work night shifts so i literally can’t use this service thats mandatory), almost every other week or two we received a message warning us that we’ll be fined. I literally spend $35 for nothing since I just throw out my trash myself. There’s too many issues when you could just move into the other two complexes next door if I’m going to be honest….Ask yourself if you’re really about to spend $1500+ a month for all these issues…I personally will not be renewing my lease unless they can actually fix these water leaks because again, beautiful complex and amazing area, just not built right.
Review subject to change depending on how my unit issues...
