I honestly have NO idea how this place has good reviews. The parking lots donāt hold enough spaces for the restaurant. We had to park, like others, to the place beside the restaurant, good thing itās night time so the other place is closed. We came Friday at around 7:50pm-8pm. We asked to sit out side and was told itās a 10 minute wait so asked to be seated inside until outside was available and she said thatās fine and said sheād come get us, I re-confirmed and asked āyouāll come get us?ā And she said āyesā and never did. I ordered the Tucker Ga beer and it was gross. I ordered the fish tacos and they were ok the slaw wasnāt so great it was sour. I ordered the cauliflower mash as a side and it had zero seasoning and was kinda like warm cold and I tried to add salt but didnāt help, I described it as nursing home food. I replaced it with Brussel sprouts that were burnt black to the bone but at least seasoned. The fish in the tacos was way too spicy. The poutina fries or whatever they are called that supposedly people rave about were soggy and gross, I ate the ones on the edge. The atmosphere is good for a 55+ white generation which are probably the ones who give the good reviews. The music is from the 70s and not the hit 70s. The inside is super lit up and ugly decor. The bartenders were talking about drama that happened a night ago and were arguing with the waiters which is whatever but trashy. Just a boring vibe and place. The only good thing was our server was cool and thatās about it. Our tab was $77 for two plates of trash food and a few nasty beers. Whoever the cook is doesnāt know how to cook. Wayyyy over priced, $14+ for two small flour tacos and a side is extra. Oh and the cool water they serve you in the cool looking bottle with cups they try and make look fancy is tap water. Iām good lol. I donāt even give bad reviews, im not the picky type and rarely do I care if everything is decent or even so-so, so thatās how bad it is for me to take the time to write this. The servers and bartenders seem cool but the vibe, music, food is for senior citizens. Wonāt be...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe were on our way to an exhibit and had time to kill, so we decided to get a quick snack. There were lots of people out since it was Cinco de Mayo. We were seated quickly. I had a Pomegranate Martini, it was fantastic. It was chilled, potent and yummy! The lady who brought it over, was super careful walking it over. She didn't want not one drop spilled. Bless her! š My cousin had a Margarita in Cinco de Mayo fashion. It looks like there were jalapeƱos in it. She was brave. We got the onion dip platter and Macken cheeseballs(mac N cheese filled), YUM... YUM... YUMMY!!!! I was in love with the veggies and freshly fried house potato chips that came with the onion dip! While eating our snacks, we saw all the food being brought out to several tables near us. We saw the cuban sandwich and it looked mouthwateringly delicious. We ordered it and split it. It was a very tasty sandwich until I bit into what I thought was a "Pickle". All of a sudden my mouth was on fire!!! Thankfully I had ordered a Coke a Cola. Come to find out, they put jalapeƱos in the sandwich. Cuban sandwiches NEVER come with that. So I was in shock. I do not eat spicy food. I get that they wanted to give this a twist but NO. If you love spicy, then yes....this is for you. Had I known they did that I would have told them not to add it in my sandwich. I wasn't given an option. I'd definitely return here. Looks like a lot of the locals, including families dine here. I like that( it was late afternoon). They have an outdoor patio as well, on a cool day...I'm sure it is nice! I bet the burgers are delicious here. Hope we return one...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI visited this location on 12/5/21. The visit was originally a great experience until the waitress, Jenna, became very rude. We had a party of 6, 4 adults and 2 toddlers. Iām not sure if the waitress was intimidated by our race but once the entire party showed up her demeanor changed immediately! It went from pleasant to condescending. Instead of asking us if we wanted to purchase an additional sauce for a childrens meal she insinuated that we didnāt want to pay for it and gave us a hassle when we told her that we would pay the additional cost. This was very alarming due to the fact that children tend to double dip and we are currently in a pandemic, therefore the option should have been giving to us so we can remain safe. I ordered the seasonal salad and Crispy Brussel Sprouts as an appetizer and the Fish and Chips as an entree. I informed Jenna that my food was very greasy and lacked flavor, already seeming frustrated she informed me that she would have to get her manager. I reassured her that it wasnāt an issue to retrieve the manager. From this point on Jenna made it her job to continuously reach over me without apologizing which I didnāt appreciate. She did not remove any of our plates from the table to make space for additional meals we ordered and took a total of 10 minutes to swipe our cards. The manager was very condescending as well when I informed her about my meal and when asking me if I wanted other meals, taunted me with the description of additional meals on the menu! I would NOT recommend this place to any POC, as I would hate for you to experience the same treatment as my...
