Dunham's Sports — Local services in Scottsboro

First of all what kind of sporting good store doesn't sale a fishing lic. Second I found a rod and reel that I wanted to buy and it did not have a price tag or a barcode on it, so I looked around for another one just like it and found one more, and yes of course it didn't have a price or barcode on it either so I asked an associate about it and he looked at me like I was crazy and said "so what are you wanting to know?".....Well if I told you I wanted to buy something but it doesn't have a barcode or price on it.....What do you think I want to know?, anyway I was polite and asked him the same question but in a different way thinking he would understand and he told me to take it up front and they could look it up, so I did just that and OH MY WORD, it took 15 minutes (I am the ONLY person in line) to find this rod and reel in their system, the guy was nice at the register and said the computer was being slow. I should have never bought the rod and reel after all that but I did, I am still upset that a sporting good store does NOT sale fishing lic.........I will just go to Wal-Mart...

Horrible experience. First time in and last time. We are camping up I'm scottsboro and we're looking at purchasing a kayak so we thought we would check this place out. We saw an associate and stopped her to ask about pricing because some don't have prices and well she was carrying pieces to clothing racks and when we stopped her I thought the things were going to hit the floor do to the attitude and arms swinging because she was so put out. So I let that go because you know we all have bad days. So I said yes ma'am do you all have price scanners um no was the response I said ok well how do we get a price if it's not on it? You carry to the front and they can tell you. I said ok thank you for all your help looked at my husband and said yeah I will take myself to the front and out the front door. Customer service is totally horrible guess she doesn't realize the customers pay her with...

Not sure how this store stays in business as no one tries to help you and there is no easy way to flag any employees for assistance as they are all at the front cash register socializing. My husband and I went in the store to look at their guns which are located in the back left corner of the store. No one came to help us and it was impossible to see the names or prices of any of the rifles or shotguns in the cases on the back wall. We waited for a few minutes and decided to just leave, we were greeted upon entry, but we were not asked if we needed any help or given any request to help. And this place was practically dead, maybe one other customer, so they obviously were not over loaded with work. Sad and disappointig...
