Absolutely awful experience at Valvoline. I waited nearly 60 minutes to even get pulled into the bay, and then the technician launched into a nonstop rant about his wild weekend. He went on and on about his 3-day drinking bender, bragging about house parties and how drunk he got. He even had the nerve to ask me if I had a cure for his hangover, completely oblivious to how uncomfortable and uninterested I was. It was clear he couldn’t read the room—I didn’t want to hear about his drunken escapades while he was working on my car! To top it off, he kept grumbling about wishing every car in line would just “go home” and complaining that the shop’s bells wouldn’t “shut up.” So unprofessional. I’m honestly worried he was too hungover to even put the right oil in my vehicle. They didn’t check any of the other fluids like they normally do either.

Follow Up: I had high hopes for Valvoline Instant Oil Change in Scottsboro, AL after a disappointing first visit where an employee spent my entire visit complaining about being hungover from a night of heavy drinking. Unfortunately, this second experience was just as frustrating. I waited in line for 40 minutes with only one car being serviced and one car ahead of me—without any movement. The car in front of me hadn’t even been pulled in yet! I ended up leaving without service because I had to get back to work. There’s nothing "instant" about this place. To top it off, their prices are outrageous—well over $100 unless you hunt down an online coupon. This is my go to spot in my home town even though it's the same store the people acting like they put air in my tires instead took air out also had to watch them and ask for them to check my other fluids as well not good service if your not gonna treat everyone the same. Such a pleasant experience. Typically I hate going for an oil change because it takes so long at other places. I arrived at an optimal time, no one ahead of me. There were no pressure sales tactics.
