I got a partial (Iâm blonde) done by my hair stylist (blonde specialist) of almost a decade. She used a different toner than she had used in past visits & it resulted in my hair feeling more dry & damaged than usual. I had a work trip & figured a moisture treatment & hair trim would help my hair look & feel healthy for my big trip. So I booked a hair cut & luminous hydration treatment w/ Sami F. As I was explaining to Sami the current state of my hair, she began recommending that I do the gloss & glow treatment instead. She said it was a keratin treatment & that keratin is great for dry damaged hair, especially blondes. We went back & forth a couple times on this & I ended up agreeing to her recommendation to switch treatments. I take 100% ownership in allowing this to happen to & Iâm upset with myself for not sticking to what I felt was best for me. Never doubt your instincts. When I left the salon, my hair did not feel great but I figured it may take up to 24 hours before it felt as Sami had described it would feel. What actually ended up happening is my hair started matting & became impossible to get through. It felt like I had a heavy mop on my head, I was miserable to say the least. As soon as I got back from my trip I called the salon & let them know I was not doing well with the treatment & I asked if I could get in that day to have it removed. This is where the 1 star really comes into play and if it could be a negative star, I would do so. I spoke to Diane (manager) & she told me to come in at 1:15 that day. I moved things around on my work calendar to make that time work. As soon as I arrived I was hoping to see Diane so that I could show her what I had described over the phone. When I arrived Diane was in a meeting so I asked if she could leave her meeting to come see me. Iâm not sure if this put Diane on the defense or if it was my comment when she first came over where I told her I am concerned because I did some research into keratin and from what I had learned, itâs not a simple process to remove. Either way, Diane did not seem to want to be inconvenienced with my concerns & she seemed more interested in dodging my questions around what was actually put in my hair as she denied it was keratin. As Iâm sure you can imagine, I started feeling confused & concerned when she told me that keratin was not used in my hair but couldnât tell me exactly what had been used instead. As I pushed Diane for answers, she told me that âif I kept it up she wouldnât help me as I was being rude to staffâ I asked Diane for a example of how I had been rude to the staff (as I hadnât even talked to the staff expect to check in) & she couldnât come up with an example but instead said it was âmy tone.â I will be the 1st to admit, my tone was serious as I was highly concerned at this point. However, I never raised my voice, swore or had a condescending tone. At this point I started to cry & Diane proceeded to tell me numerous times âthis is not a big deal itâs only hair.â I told Diane through tears that it may not be a big deal to her but it is to me because my hair is a part of my body. It is an extension of my identify. Itâs a big deal & pretty concerning that the manager of a hair salon doesnât understand this & even more concerning, had the audacity to say that to me while she couldnât even tell me what had been used on my hair. At this point I asked Diane if I could speak to the owner of the salon as I felt this was the only way I would get answers. Diane told me the owner would call me on a day that she is working and the day of my appointment was (however Diane had a convo with her that day) After washing my hair 2x to try to rid it of the keratin product, the stylist who was helping to fix the issue could barely get through my wet hair as it was INCREDIBLY tangled. At this point Diane comes back over looks at my hair & says âIâve never seen anyoneâs hair in this state.â Due to character limits I have to cut it short. There is so much more to share. Got my money back w/o asking as my hair...
Read moreI want to start off by saying that I had a really good experience in the chair with Sami she definitely made me feel confident with my caramel hair color that I chose the first time. She is a really kind person which of course I have nothing bad to say about her.
Unfortunately I wonât be coming back to this salon because the second time I changed hair colors from caramel to red it didnât turn out good.
When I left the salon the day I went red it really looked beautiful and vibrant on me the first 3 days and I was told it shouldnât fade even if I didnât add the red tint to the customizable keune shampoo and conditioner which I paid for the red tint to be added inside both large conditioner and shampoo hair products.
Well I washed my hair on the 3rd day because it was time to wash it and I noticed a lot of the red hair dye was coming out which I was told that would be normal but when I got out the shower I noticed it was not as red as it was when I left the salon but I didnât make a big deal about it because I thought maybe this is how it should look after a first wash which I was fine with it. By the way I donât wash my hair everyday I wash it every 3 days! And I used the products with the red tint.
So Every time i washed my hair and used the shampoo and conditioner of course while I rinsed my hair the water looked red in my shower because of the red tint inside the products so I didnât really notice how much of the dye was actually coming off until I dried my hair after all my showers I kept noticing the color fade each time except the top of my hair which was odd because I use to dye my own hair with red and the dye would not come off like this one did and I paid a lot for my dream red hair color which that was not the outcome for me.
Itâs been 7 weeks and Iâm left with red hair on top and brown in the bottom. Sadly I donât feel happy about the outcome and I canât style my hair down because it looks blotchy and itâs noticeable even my husband can notice it. It may be different for others but for me the third time switching colors from Carmel to red didnât...
Read moreThis has been by far THE WORST experience I ever had at a hair salon: not only they burnt my scalp, they also burnt my hair and completley stained the roots of it, it seems the bleach leaked out of the foil and left blotchy stains all over my head. They also failed to achieve the requested result (we had a consultation prior to doing anything to my hair and I was told it would be ok) they gave me red/brassy hair and a rough root to what was supposed to be a balayage. The sad part is that when I told my stylist (her name is Amber) that I was very unhappy with the whole experience, she said (and I quote) âI wish you the best in your hair journeyâ in other words; you already paid so I donât care to have you back as a costumer, kind of the same thing happened when I called the manager, she kept saying ok ok, like she didnât care to try to fix the mess they made. I would stay away from this place because they were not only ignorant, they were also unapologetic and they charge a premium for a lousy and terrible job. I also forgot to mention they make you sign a bunch of papers before they take you in and now it all makese sense, they protect themselves from giving refunds. What they offer is to go back with the same stylist to fix you which makes no sense because why would you go back to the person that ruined you in the first place? I should have taken that as a...
