This was my first time ever dying my hair and it has honestly traumatized me into never dying it again. I found them off of Groupon and a family friend also went to her so I assumed she could do mine. When I asked to do balayage I specifically said to make sure no blonde went into my hair. I also said I wanted something natural only slightly lighter than my natural hair color. The groupon also included a haircut in which I wanted to cut my hair shorter. I asked for an inch or maybe more below my collarbone and long layers. In the first step of cutting, keep in mind I have thick hair, she cut large sections of my hair making sides very uneven; that was just a straight across chop for my hair. Then after the straight cut it was the dying process. She told me the dye would change my hair â3 levels lighterâ and coming from a non-hair dresser background I did not know what that meant completely, so I assumed it was okay. As I sat in the chair for 45 minutes, both hair dressers left the salon to move furniture to their new suite and left me all by myself in the salon which I thought was weird. When the timer was up she removed the foils and washed my hair. I was then sat down to begin the long layers in my hair. This consisted of her constantly changing my part line while she took huge chunks of my hair and snipped at it above my head. When she was done with that she then blow dryed my hair and asked me if I liked my new hair color. In which I said yes because of what I could see in the not so well lit room, it looked okay to me. She proceeded with curling my hair which later seemed like a tactic to cover up the unevenness of my layers she butchered in. When I got home I looked outside with a mirror to see my hair color and realized it was WAY too light then what I asked. My hair turned an orange almost brassy color and from my perception a little blonde too. This made me cry and feel awful about myself, my self esteem plummeted. Now from here I texted her expressing my concern with my hair color and how it was too light for me. The texts she sent me felt very defensive and almost my fault. The first thing you learn in any business is that the customer is always right. It felt as if she was arguing with me, that I just was use to seeing everything dark, that I shouldâve told her in the salon that it was too light for me, and that she wouldnât be able to squeeze me in until next week because she was double booked all of that day, the next, and the one after that. Iâm a student with a job and next week happens to be my week of finals in which Iâm working and studying all of it. The only open spot she told me was 8:30am the next day which are days Iâm still reviewing and learning for finals. She said sheâd confirm Saturday appointments for me and let me know. At this point, my mom took it into her own hands to squeeze me into her hair dresserâs schedule and get me an appointment there because I hated how I looked. At last, as I was at the different hair appointment, she told me at noon one was open on Saturday but I was working that day. It wasnât until I asked for my money back that she tried to squeeze me in at night at 7. At this point I was already flustered with the customer service I was obtaining and was very unhappy. I just wanted a refund because my mom had to pay more money to fix what she messed up. She refused to give my money back due to an issue with Groupon and said sheâs offering to fix it at âher costâ when I was already getting my hair redone elsewhere. She does not know the basic of customer service and I would never recommend getting my hair cut or colored here. If I could give them zero stars, I would. She went super lazy and sloppy on my haircut and was extremely rude to me over text. I will not be using their service ever again and hope to receive a...
Read more!! DO NOT GO HERE !!* I had a Groupon for a haircut and made an appointment with Alicia for 9 am. After arriving, the door was locked, and no one was there. I waited a little bit, then called Alicia but no answer, waited, and called her two more times with no answer. I live 30 minutes away and did not want to drive all that way for nothing, so I was willing to give Alicia the benefit of the doubt and wait. Another stylist arrived to open up. She asked if I was waiting on Alicia and told me she would go call her. When Alicia finally showed up close to 10 a.m., I was a little irritated but was still willing to have my haircut. But there was no hello, no apologies, the very first thing she said to me was, "You weren't here at 9 am!" I told her not only was I there, but I tried calling her three times! She tells me she doesn't answer numbers she doesn't know! Her story changed many times, and I caught her in quite a few lies. I told her I honestly couldn't believe how disrespectful and unprofessional she was, and with her attitude, did not want her working on my hair. I told her I would be canceling my groupon, but before I even got home to ask for a refund, Alicia had redeemed the groupon! She erased my calls from her call log and sent a screenshot to "show" I didn't call. But after showing groupon MY call log, to show I DID call her three times, and telling them about my horrible experience, I received a full refund and an apology from groupon. IMO, Alicia is Very dishonest, and I have no idea how she stays in business. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME GOING HERE, I...
Read moreI have been seeing Alicia for well over a year now and I abolsutrly love her!! She transformed my hair into a beautiful blonde last year! This year I decided I wanted to go back to being brunette and she picked the perfect color for my skin tone! You have to come have your hair done here! She also introduced me to Lanza hair products which have completely changed the texture of my hair and made it really healthy again! I get complements on my hair all of the time now! I am out with my friends quite often taking photos at all of the different venues we go to for different events and my hair looks fantastic in photos now which is 100% due to Alicia. She also did a fabulous job with my eyebrows. The other thing I love is that her fellow stylist Jessica is very talkative with me as well, which doesnât happen often at salons. Usually stylists will strictly talk to their particular clients and Jessica is not like that at all. Very friendly staff. I also saw a comment about Alicia not replying very promptly and that is not true. She always confirms my appointments with me the day before, and when I have had to cancel or if I have occasionally been late, she has been extremely gracious about it. The only time she doesnât reply right away is if she is with another client making sure their customer service experience while in the salon is as personalized and focused on them...
