I have consigned items twice. I went there today to see what had sold and was told this many items, and for a total of this much. But their system doesn’t tell you WHAT sold. You have to figure it out by process of elimination. Anyway, let’s get a check for that please. Sales person tells me two dresses are still in the store, past their rack date. I was told I must look on all their racks for my NWT dresses, which I did several times, with no results. The only hint I was given was they’d have a kelly green tag. A bit huffily the sales person looks around, too, but no dresses. She said they may have been donated. I asked if their system should reflect that, to which she said yes, but that’s hit or miss, not the greatest system, meanwhile I check all the racks again. I said I would take ALL my unsold items with me because this is not working for me. They huffed and puffed, I search the entire store again. Another sales woman looks around, too, and we locate almost all my consigned items, but not all. I take my remaining items and the original sales woman said they’d call if they turn up or sell. I turned around and said “no you won’t”. That’s not how it works. I’m angry and very frustrated. I asked early during this whole encounter to speak to a manager. No manager was on site. A lot of good merchandise in the store. But beware if you...
Read moreAs a seller, this is the worst consignment shop to do business with. I wish one was able to leave a -0 when rating such a horrific place. They shouldn't be allowed to even get a star.
I saw a news blurb about this place a little bit before Christmas. While cleaning my closet, I decided to give them a try on items that I'd purchased months prior, but longer wanted. I took 2 Valentino dresses ($2100 each), 2 Valentino shirts ($700 each), 1 pair of St. Laurent leather pants ($6000), and a Dolce & Gabbana top ($425). Three of the items still had the price tags on them. The others pieces, I wore only once.
I called less than a month later to check on the items. A lady that answered the phone said that all the items had sold. I visited and they handed me a check for $547 for all six pieces! (So basically they gave the clothes away.) I expressed my disappointment. The clerk stated that I had given items that wouldn't sell so they had to price them low. Lol. Really now? New Valentino and Saint Laurent no longer sell in Scottsdale?? I'm utterly shocked and in disbelief. This is funny business at it's best.
People, do what everyone is telling me what I should have done... Take your consignment items to My...
Read moreMore and more I find myself overwhelmed in large shopping venues — and shop online more than I ever imagined just to avoid trying to find where I parked my car. Its sensory overload. I like the welcoming, highly curated experience of sustainable shopping at High Society —where we can park just outside the front door, pick up an item or two, and be in our way in no time. There is always something hand selected and stylish that fits the bill. And the staff truly seem to care about the shoppers’ finished product. Their credibility rests on their clients success. So patient and kind. Not only is sustainable shopping good for the environment, their clients can depend on being immaculately well turned out and have time left over to get back to the office or just...
