This restaurant is an absolute hidden gem in Scottsdale with incredible, authentic-tasting Thai food and a warm, welcoming staff. Clearly family run and owned. My friend and I went there yesterday evening--she lived in Thailand for years, and I've visited. We were so impressed by the food and drinks; I got the best Thai tea I've had in AZ, and we loved the fresh avocado spring rolls (huge!). She enjoyed the Tom Yum soup and said it's very rare to find here in the U.S. I got sweet-and-sour shrimp with vegetables and it was so delicious--fresh, healthy, really reminded me of authentic Thai food like I ate in the northern Thailand (Sukhothai) village I stayed in while I visited. Of course we finished it off with delicious sticky rice and mango, and the mango was amazing. So flavorful and juicy. Read moreMy husband and I have been eating at the Thai Coconut restaurant since it opened five years ago. Their Thai food is absolutely outstanding! Everything is made fresh with high-quality ingredients, and they have an extensive menu. Our favorites are the massaman curry and the tom yum soup, but everything we've had has been delicious. I think the food at the Thai Coconut is the best Thai food I've ever had anywhere. The restaurant is fairly small, but they do a large take-out business, so you can get your order to go if you don't want to wait for a table. They certainly deserve all the five-star...
Read moreUpdate: Watery and tasteless curry. Curry used to be rich and creamy, not watery and tasteless like water. It’s just sad. So sad to see the decline. En needs to return to her first culinary love.

This is likely due to inflation, but it is disappointing to see the compromise in quality. I so much want to see this place succeed and not go the direction of so many others in reducing quality. Please help them out and go there: maybe with an increase in the volume of customers they will have less concern about profits and will return the dishes to their former 5-star...
