Sidewalk Surfer — Local services in Scottsdale

So I'm one of the "O.G." skaters from the 70's. Yeah, I'm older. I've passed my 60's and because of the later technologies in safety equipment I've purchased a few "Old school" decks to begin shredding AGAIN. Sidewalk Surfer's selection has provided me with the exact decks I used to skate along with the same trucks (with improvements) and wheels that I'm used to. Believe it or not, I feel like I'm back in the groove. LOL! Looking around the shop I see HUGE examples of skateboarding history that can only be found at a shop like this. How blessed and fortunate we are to have such a shop in our back yard!! I used to skate the "Pipeline East" in Miami, A skatepark in El Paso, The Pipeline in California and frequented shops like The Zephyr Surf (and Skateboard) shop. In fact, my first "professional" skateboard was a Zephyr (later Z-Flex) with Tracker Trucks and Sim's Pure Juice wheels. Those were all the "Original" skateboard brands for the best. I acknowledge G&S, Alva, Dogtown Skates, and others.

Sidewalk Surfer has an AWESOME owner! Absolute top notch service even keeping me informed about reissue decks... even ones that I had stolen decades ago and when they'd be available again!! TALK ABOUT SERVICE!!!!! Giant KUDOS!! I can't say enough positive things about Sidewalk Surfer.

My grandkids are getting to "just about that age" to begin skateboarding....now that they can walk. Lol!

I'm pretty sure a visit to Sidewalk Surfer is very near in my future. Why would I go anywhere else??

Prices are quite reasonable....in fact, lower than I expected at a brick and mortar skate shop ANYWHERE.

This is long overdue....lost my car 4 years back, been on feet since. About a month or two ago, I taught myself how to skate in a week, after tired of being on feet. My first board got ran over in same day i got it. 3 days later while going through another moment of despair. I bought a used one, the truks were on backwards and a pretty expensive piece that was ruined wouldn't allow me to have a stable balance, inside the metal work! not knowing where to go or who to trust, with blind luck and The kindhearted individuals @ sidewalk surfer were serendipitous to my boards recovery! These gentleman not only replaced the quite expensive part, (I'm guessing 80 dollars or more) properly adjusted my truks, But most importantly they didn't judge me for color or presence in their atmosphere. They treated me like an equal.

When i thought the worst of everyone in this state' I'm guessing they blessed me with about 100 dollars in labor and parts all off the heart and passion for their craft! Ever since I haven't had to feel the pain of walking everywhere, board when im stressed. Now Ill have a new car in a month pre-approved and I owe the ease to the last weeks of my life to Sidewalk Surfer! ill recommend to anyone I see shredding on the pavement, go...

This skate shop is absolutely AMAZING! I had so much fun shopping for my longboard & helmet.I had no idea the selection of clothing apparel,shoes, skateboards,roller skates, helmets, flip flops, cool stickers & so much more that this shop carries, & what they don’t have they can order. BEST skate shop I’ve been too by far. Customer service was FIRST CLASS from the time I walked in to the store till the time I walked out. Thank you Tim for making me feel so welcomed, sharing your knowledge of boards, life & laughter with me, also making sure I got just what I was looking for in a long board & taking time to make sure I was happy with my purchase & more so reminding me about safety first.
