Inner Circle Cafe — Restaurant in Scottsdale

This is my second time coming here. I have lived here my whole life. Local. Loved that this place celebrated local business. My complaint is with the staff and the food. The staff transports you back to high school. Inner circle-the name of the place was suiting. First time I experienced this unwelcoming vibe from the cashier and I brushed it off as a bad day. The second time my husband experienced the same thing. I was like ooo they are rude! Staff just need some training on being friendly. They will cut you off and give you an unamused look. I bought salsa the first time. I didn't know I had to grab it myself and the staff looked at me like how did you not know??? I'm sorry I didn't want to go into the business freezer. When we were walking in they were complaining about customers. Don't do that in the front area. They were giving off pretentious Scottsdale but the cafe is giving early 2000s coffee house. Not saying it would be okay if it was upscale but give me a break. I'm giving you money! Also the food! I got deviled eggs and it looked like Deb from HR brought them in for a pot luck. For $8... no thank you! The price for the food quality. Lastly, they were making a chai tea and it smelled like my grandma's cinnamon potpourri exploded. We had to sit outside. Driving around scottsdale, early, on Saturday morning. What time at, what to eat! The world is a smorgasbord!! I was doing a search and was hungry so I didn’t want to wait at a traditional Breakfast space. The Inner Circle came up next to one of my old haunts and I had to try.

The atmosphere was simple. The menu loooked delicious. I couldn’t decide because everything looked so bombtastic. I was salivating then as I am now thinking of the avocado with curry chicken salad.

We ordered the Avocado w/ Curry Chicken, the breakfast burrito with avocado, the deviled eggs and the Nutella / banana toast. The coffees came out right away and that filled my hunger a bit while I waited for the feast! IT. WAS. AWESOME. I loved every minute of every bite. The kids likes the burrito and toast.

The kids enjoyed the space and moved around the room. The tables are spaced for social distancing and everyone is wearing masks. The tables were clean as well as the main area. The staff was very nice but overworked. They better get a raise!!! They kept it cool be em though they were bombarded...

I will never come here again. I went in to purchase a package of mud wtr and a pastry. The sign for the mud wtr clearly said $50/lb, 1pkg=1lb. As I'm standing there to check out she calls someone on the phone and asks the price of the mud wtr and repeats out loud, oh well I put a sign out that is wrong I need to change it. Mind you I'm standing there ready to purchase. I tell her she needs to honor the price on the sign and she replies, well you don't have to buy it!!! What horrible customer service! If you knew the sign was wrong then why would you keep it up there? Would she have made the call if it was someone other than me. Shame on you Inner Circle!!!!
