DO NOT do business with CELLULAR SALES. Especially the salesman Robert McKean. He will put out several cellphones, show the customer each one and how it works,, then after the customer having selected one will box the cellphones up and hand the customer a cellphone, and have them sign for it not giving the customer a chance to review what they're signing. A fast shuffle once he's made a sale to get the customer out of the store.
My wife upgraded her cellphone and he did JUST THAT. Once it was realized that she had been given the wrong cellphone, he became unavailable beyond the time period allowed to return and replace the cellphone. There has also been a whole host of issues with this particular cellphone from dropped calls, recoding the SIM card to eventually replacing the SIM card, to not staying connected to the WiFi, being bumped off that to only being forced to use Data, emails that repeatedly come in after having been deleted, not staying connected to the bluetooth in her car, etc. We have called technical support several times and have been back to the store more than twenty times to correct these issues which have never been corrected corrected to this day.
We have called the store several times, but the salesman was either not working there that day or he was with another customer and would be given a message to call back. Several days later he would return our call and was unsure if how to handle the situation. He we defer the issue to the "higher ups." They never got back to us!
At one point, I received a text message from a disgruntled customer who had just left the store with a new phone. She had been given my name and number informing her that I was the salesman. She was informed otherwise. The text messages have been saved in case I take legal action for disseminating my personal information.
After complaining to Corporate Headquarters several months later (I'm talking from late summer), the resolution which took more than a month that the Corporate Headquarters made was to call technical support which has already been done several times and if they can not correct the issues or contact Asurion, the insurance for the cellphone and have them replace the cellphone at an additional $200. This is in NO WAY how business should be done! Stay away from Authorized Cellphone Dealers especially Cellular Sales. Only do business in a Verizon...
Read moreWent in the store to get an iPad. They didn’t have the color I wanted so I was given one they had in stock and was told the other one was ordered and would be in within 2-3 days. Great. Was also given a bill estimate and was charged a $50 set up fee (which I thought was strange since nothing was set up, but I paid it.)
A couple days goes by so I give them a call to touch base on the status of the tablet - was told Black Friday was impacting delivery times and to call back in another day.
At this point, I was able to see my next bill. It was over $80 more than he quoted me, filled with additional one time fees, etc. I was able to call Verizon support and get all but one fee taken care of. Still around $30 additional dollars in fees and found out the bill estimate was also off by around $15/ month.
Two more days pass, so I call back - the tablet still hasn’t arrived, but they assure me it’s on its way. Two days later, I go in the store to see what’s going on and ask about why my bill got so screwed up. I asked the guy to look at my account and assure the tablet had in fact been ordered. He said it was and should be on its way.
Finally, I call back 2 days before the 14 day trial period ends. This guy tells me they never ordered the iPad. He assured me he’d have another one to the store the next day, then shot me a text saying they weren’t going to have it.
At this point, I just went back to return the device. The manager who was processing the paper check refund didn’t think to confirm the address on file before sending out the check, and sent my refund TO THE WRONG ADDRESS.
NEVER have I consistently worked with such an incompetent group of people in my life. If you have the misfortune of dealing with this place, ask for Matt. He’s the only one who was honest with me about the status of everything.
So disappointed. Won’t be getting an iPad...
Read moreRUN AWAY! NO DISCLOSURE AND UNAUTHORIZED CHARGES! A rep told me that there were no hidden fees attached to a free tablet they were giving away as a Christmas promotion. Pay $99 now and get a $99 rebate. I asked about whether there were any extra fees for the tablet. He swore there weren't. You can guess what happened. As I prepared the rebate, I noticed that the tablet came with an additional $10/month fee, a 2 year agreement with a $175 termination fee, as well as a one-time $35 activation fee. I immediately returned the tablet, but they refused to refund the $35 activation fee. I had to go argue for hours with a rep at Verizonwireless.
Unfortunately, there's more. I was there to get my son an Iphone for Christmas and add a $30 data plan to our family plan. The rep told me that I could save $20/month on my plan if we changed to a different plan with shared gigabyte data, based on our low data usage. This turned out to be another baldfaced lie. Turns out this new plan costs the same amount we would have paid staying with our own plan, yet, instead of getting 2GB data each, we share 3GB. We were then charged a $30 fee, for overages which Verizonwireless has refused to refund.
Unfortunately, this isn't the end of the story. I just received my credit card statement, and there are four charges for insurance from TechProtect, when I specifically told the rep I DID NOT WANT any insurance on my son's phone. This company appears to have my credit card information and is charging away at will. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THESE SLEAZY GUYS
BTW, hw is it possible for a cell phone retailer to get all five-star reviews (especially given my own experience) and absolutely no negative reviews other than mine? It's obvious that the good reviews are fakes and have been paid for by...
