I came in when traffic to store was light. I only had one person ahead of me. Ironically, what most of would complain about— a long wait— is what I realized was a benefit here.
Don’t get me wrong, they were very understaffed that day, only a manager named Steven and one additional sales person were on the floor. Steven could be seen trying to juggle assisting the one person ahead of me and getting extra coverage.
I waited 40 minutes before I was called by Steven. This alone had me frustrated. At first.
I come to find out that they had zero inventory of what I needed. So yes after a long wait to be assisted, it was the last thing I wanted to hear from Steven. Second frustration.
Steven apologized for it. I know in the end it was not his fault, and I appreciated his sincerity.
So this is why I absolutely have no reservation giving this AT&T store 5 stars. Steven could obviously see I was not happy. I mentioned that I really didn’t wish nor have the time to shop around other stores to see if a store had what I was looking for. So he instead proposed if I didn’t mind waiting a week and getting the products delivered. Yes, solution #1!
I casually mentioned a car accessory I might need. He quickly rushed to their selection and gave me a recommendation explaining the varied pros and cons. Yes, yes solution #2!
As I was standing there, I told him my concern over how strenuous carrying a large phone is on my hands. With his “No problem, let’s see what we can do about that” attitude. He again went over with me varying products. One which I had never seen. Sold Steven! Solution #3.
Steven spent a good 45 minutes with me. And that is what causes a ripple effect for delays- he has trained his employees to treat every single customer as if they deserve your undivided attention. He listens, cares about your needs, and gives you options. This is why I walked away releasing my frustration with a 40 minute delay.
Now mind you about 5 different sets of parties came in after me. & Thankfully Steven got one extra coverage to walk in by the end of our transaction.
I think Corporate should have a keen eye on what Steven is doing. As such, he should not be overlooked for rising up his...
Read moreDO NOT VISIT THIS STORE! MANAGER STEVEN IS A SCAMMER.
After hearing great things about AT&T, I visited the store and switched from T-Mobile to AT&T. Unfortunately, the experience has been terrible due to Steven lies. Therefore, I am writing this review with the hopes that someone can fix my issue, but also to warn anyone trying to sign up with Steven or this AT&T location. Just don’t do it, you will be scammed.
When looking at available plans and options, Steven promised certain prices and said he applied “fans” and “manager discounts” into my account to lower the price. A few hours after, I received an email saying a “military discount” was applied into my account, EVEN AFTER I MENTIONED WITH HIM I AM NOT IN THE MILITARY. When looking at my bill, nothing was correct. The actual price is almost double the amount he mentioned with me on the first visit (I even have paperwork and writing with the prices he promised and do not reflect my actual bill).
With that, I decided to visit the store again and mentioned the problems with him. Steven said he will take care of it and correct the price. Steven also mentioned some of the systems have switched, and this is why the discounts were not applied correctly. Moments after, I received an email confirmation that my plan was changed from Unlimited to Starter! I made it clear that I did not wish to lower my plan, but have the prices he originally gave me. After hours spent at the store, he said everything was fixed. I thanked him for his time and left the store.
When looking at my next bill, the price was again incorrect and double what he mentioned with me. I do not mind paying what the plan costs, but definitely do not like being lied to multiple times.
Do not waste your time with Steven or this AT&T location, he will do anything possible to sell his services and earn his commissions; even if what it takes is lie to customers. Extremely disappointed.
*UPDATE: I EMAILED THEM AS REQUESTED ON THE RESPONSE BELOW AND NEVER GOT A RESPONSE!! THEY ARE NOT WILLING TO HELP OR CHANGE ANY OF THEIR EMPLOYEES...
Read moreStaff in store was excellent. Billing a disaster. They won't take auto pay by credit card now only checking account either debit card or direct debit from checking account. I've had issues with this with other companies but went with it anyway. Mistake. They billed double what I was told by store staff. He also told me there would be no activation fee. They most certainly added a $35 one. I was a long term Verizon customer & regret the change. Customer service outside of the store is a disaster. Spent hours on phone with multiple staff & a supervisor. Last attempt after waiting 40 minutes to get a person they hung up on me at the 58 minute mark with no resolution. I filed a complaint with the FCC for multiple violations. I went in my AT&T account & paid off the phone. I'm going to another company that does not lie & take unauthorized amounts out of your checking account. Beware, this is an unethical company. Do not deal with them if you live on a budget. They steal then expect you to wait up to 3 months for resolution on your bill & then only credit your account toward a future bill. How does this pay your other bills? It's hard to believe this day & time that a company could keep customers with these kind of business practices. Just beware!
Addendum: I paid off the phone to go somewhere else & now it says I cannot unlock the phone for 60 days. This is illegal holding me hostage & I cannot transfer somewhere else with a paid off phone. Do business with these people & you will regret it! I tried for hours dealing with customer service, many lied, 1 hung up. I went to another company for service 2 days ago. They gave me a loaner phone to use for 60 days until I can get my new phone unlocked by AT&T. I could not bear to give AT&T another dime of my hard earned money. They...
