Pricey, but good

BIRTHDAY MONTH=BIRTHDAY COUPONS=HAPPY RODNEY

$50 Birthday Month credit for Rewards members

I had a Spaghettini e-gift card, to go along with the $50 Birthday Month credit, and dined here on 3 recent occasions. I did attend a 94.7 The Wave AYCE Brunch 7 years ago, but still a novice in what Spaghettini offered on their regular menu. Good thing the e-gift card & promo empowered me in ordering some bougie fare.

French Dip- Simply delicious! The prime rib slices were so tender. Usually paired with chips or fries, I asked for vegetables, in which I was given the option for Caesar salad. Much better than a French Dip from Arby's or other fast casual restaurant, Spaghettini's French Dip was chef's kiss.

Seafood Pasta- Having the trifecta of lobster, crab & shrimp, the Seafood Pasta was creamy pasta excellence. Having the attendant liberally apply ample amounts of freshly shredded cheese upped the cheesy quotient all that much more.

Short Rib- Creamy sweet corn risotto, heirloom carrots, horseradish gremolata & lathered in a red wine reduction, The Short Rib was decadently succulent, and a pleasure to eat.

16 oz bone-in Pork Chop- Berkshire pork chop, topped with miso apple compote, paired with Brussel sprout leaves & parmesan polenta. Let me put it like this - after elegantly slicing bite sized pieces on the majority of the tender pork, I grabbed the pork bone and ate all the delicious bits of meat left on it Fred Flintstone-style.

Service was excellent. The bartender was friendly & hospitable, and the wait for food was negligible. A small parking lot in front of the restaurant, additional parking is available at the Bixby Business Center across Old Ranch Pkwy. Valet parking is also an option.

Masterly crafted cuisine, with prices to match, Spaghettini had me in culinary ecstasy with everything I had the pleasure to dine on. Spaghettini does have great Happy Hour Specials (including French Dip), Weekly Specials, Wine Wednesday & more, to save a little dough over regular price. Not to mention live music events & Sunday Brunch. Spaghettini is a great choice for special occasions, or just an enjoyable meal with sumptuous food & impeccable service to match. I can't wait to come back, with the difficult decision whether to choose new menu items, or go for the delectable French Dip & Short Rib,...

After deciding to go somewhere else for our anniversary dinner that had a 1 hour wait, we drove down the street a bit farther and agreed on Spaghettini. It has been over 25 years since we have eaten here, and it's right down the street!

We were greeted by a cheerful gal that took our names and told us it would be a 5-10 minute wait. Perfect! We went to the bar a grabbed a drink. Let's just say they were fabulous. I started with a Lemon Drop Martini and the hubs got a Moscow Mule. They were a bit pricey but hey, it's our 20+1 Anniversary (I needed a 20th do-over since we were locked down last year).

We were seated outside on a makeshift patio that I have to say they did a tremendous job on. Who would have thought we were going to make outside dining available in parking lots and where ever else they can cram them into. It was beautifully decorated with heaters, lights, plants, flowers. Just nicely done.

We started with the Ahi tower. It was to die for! Make sure you add avocado because I think it made it even better. The mustard aiolo and the toasted baguette were yummy.

It was time for another cocktail so I switched it up to the Sitting Pretty (sticking with Vodka). I LOVED it. It was like the Lemon Drop but with a hint of sweetness instead of the sour. Hubby got a Porcupine. It was really spicy! Serrano infused tequila, lime, citrus agave with basil and cucumber. He loved it!

Ok, time for the meal. I decided to go big with the seafood pasta. I was afraid it might be too much seafood but it was delicious. I devoured every last bite like it was my last meal!

Hubby ordered the tomahawk cider brined pork chop. I am not one to order pork chops but I had a bite and need to consider changing my orders up a bit. It was super juicy and cooked to perfect. The potatoes were amazing and forget about the broccoli because god forbid he eat a green vegetable.

Sorry but there was no room for dessert but we enjoyed a fabulous 21st anniversary dinner. They also had a band starting at 7pm. parking was $7 for valet but we found plenty of room to park ourselves. We will definitely return, sooner than 25 years from now!

Thanks for the great experience, excellent customer service and...

This restaurant is in my top 10 favorites with THE REEF and others. This restaurant definitely a five star restaurant, not 4.5. I drove 65 miles/1hr 10 minutes to come here because I heard great things about this restaurant, and what I heard was the truth. We came today on Easter. YELPERS, please reserve weeks ahead. Now the live band was awesome. The food was delicious. I had a great time. They have the main parking, Valet parking was $10 during my visit, they told me they also have extended parking across the street. When I entered, I was greeted at the door by staff. Delaney and the customer service staff were polite, friendly with all smiles. That's what customers love, with excellent customer service. So Delaney got us a table about 10 minutes wait, which was quick. And we got lucky because 4 others reserved, and me and 3 others waited 10 minutes, we got lucky. Customer service gets an A++. Our server was Danielle, she gets an A++. She took us to our table, 4 us if we're late from the other 4. Danielle took our orders, came back 5 times to make sure we were good. She refilled our glasses, and other servers did the same to make sure. I call it TEAM WORK. Now I went back n forth from the band, to the restroom, to my family's other table because we got there late, so I wasn't able to sit in their area. This place was crowded and every server that was moving trays were polite stopped and said "You're first" I've been to other restaurants where servers cut in front of customers. Not Spaghettini, everyone had a smile. This was my first time and I'll drive 65 miles again. By The Way, I used to work in food & beverages, used to work as a waiter at San Manuel Casino. So I know great customer service when I see it. Thank you Delaney and the front counter representatives. Thank you Danielle, Delaney and Thank you Spaghettini. This restaurant...

Outstanding service and great entertainment but mediocre food. The ambiance and the jazz performance left us in awe. Love this place and the music. Felt like in a jazz club in the 50’s. We came with our out of town friends who love jazz music. Seeing all the 5 star reviews on this restaurant, we thought we can bring them here to have dinner and enjoy the music at the same time. Our decision was right on. We had a good time here. All the songs were our favorites. Some nostalgic songs cross different eras from Judy Garlands to todays popular jazz were presented on stage. Our friends totally enjoyed the smooth sounds and the rhythm. I felt so much energy in the restaurant. We also enjoyed the excellent service provided by our server Dar. He was so friendly and provided good advices on the food. He got us good wines for the table. I understand this restaurant brings their chefs to visit different vineyards all over the world. Although the restaurant prides itself on exquisite food, we didn’t think the pasta was that good. The pasta in the seafood pasta dish was not Al dente at all and the sauce was quite bland. On the other hand, the appetizers and desserts were great. I loved the complimentary crème’ brûlée. It’s creamy and smooth. The tiramisu was excellent as well. We will be back to try other dishes. Hopefully we will get a better experience on the food next time. I am checking out their performance schedule, perhaps we will try their legendary Sunday brunch next time.

We were here 2 years ago. We loved the ambience, service, and most importantly, we enjoyed the food. We had a good experience, so we were here to have more of it. We were disappointed to say the least on our most recent visit. Though the atmosphere was still great due to the live music, the quality of service and the food were not the same. The front desk person wasn't welcoming, but the valet parking attendant was respectful and courteous. What I love was their excellent reservation system. Our favorites weren't on their Sunday brunch menu this time. We kicked off the brunch with a glass of champagne. We ordered the salad, ahi tartare, caramelized salmon, and filet mignon for a 4-course meal. Our server gave us 2 pcs of half coffee cake and butter cake, very small portion. Ahi tartare was a bit bland, and toast was chewy instead of crunchy. The filet mignon was really tender (with additional $10 charge which I didn't think it was worth it). The caramelized salmon with jasmine rice was just ok. The only thing I enjoyed was the bread and I finished the salad. We didn't enjoy the food as much this time, so we ended up boxing it, including the untouched deserts. For $65/person for brunch, you can get better food someplace else. On the other hand, if you enjoy jazz music with your peers, this is a good place to be. It’s a nice, clean, and beautiful restaurant, but with its overpriced food without the quality to match it, it's not worth it.
