I had a problem with my foil drive gen 2, it was no longer working and I had it down to 1 of 2 items that could be the problem and through email with foil drive repair dept. Was told to go to one of their local stockists and isolate the issue and call them from the shop and get the warranty figured out. I hadn’t gotten it from the foil shop either, they were just the closest shop to my place that sells foil drive gear. And with the time difference foil drive employees didn’t get in until the shops here were closed so I went to the foil shop the next day regardless and Patrick and Josh helped me out even though I hadn’t bought anything from them yet. Josh brought in his personal gen 2 set up so we could isolate which part had gone bad and it took us about 5 min to get it figured out, it was the remote that had gone bad. Josh says I can buy a remote from one of their new full kits and he would just order another remote to replace it which was cool for sure but I told him that it was a warranty issue and showed him the emails between foil drive and myself authorizing the foil shop to replace whatever part was the issue with whatever they had on hand and they would promptly replace it for them. And without the slightest hesitation or questioning Josh opened up a brand new gen 2 kit and took out the remote and handed it to me and said we were good!!!! I was really taken aback, I thought for sure he would want to read the emails and make sure especially because I had never been a customer of theirs yet, but not even, they were the most helpful, nicest guys and just took apart a $5,000 plus dollar item to give me a $250 dollar piece of it without hesitation. I was very impressed with both of those guys as well as with foil drive. They both stand behind their products and are willing to help out the community of foilers no problem. I will definitely be buying all my future foiling equipment from the foil shop and you should too. I can’t imagine better customer service than what they showed me, not even a customer yet. This is a great shop in So Cal for all of your foiling needs! It's a shop I can trust. As a new individual entering the sport, I had lots of questions. All of their team members were very professional, friendly, patient, knowledgeable and made great genuine recommendations. No pressure sales, they are passionate and will help you make the best decision based on your needs. They have great selection and prices. I eventually made a purchase for full setup. Part of the setup was shipped directly from the manufacturer and there was a hiccup, however the owner Josh, jumped in quickly to resolved all issues. My first time here was 2 years ago - Josh and Patrick both took me to Seal Beach to demo the new (at the time) Progression 140/125. As a new foiler, it was seriously awesome to have two experts in the water with me getting new gear dialed. Not to mention having two locals with you to calm some angry surfers.
