A critical over-night package for me was dropped off at this store on 11/3 at 5:27 PM and then was never seen again. That was nearly three weeks ago. The only electronic record UPS has is when the employee(s) at The UPS Store scanned it in to the system. There is no record of it ever being picked up by the UPS driver that evening. I and several UPS employees have contacted the owner of this store by phone to ask if he could do a thorough search of the premises (in case it slipped under a desk etc) and he was terse, defensive and very unhelpful. I can only conclude that the package was stolen from this location. I have contacted UPS Store Corporate to submit a claim and a complaint, and may file a police report as well. If the situation changes I will modify this review but otherwise I strongly advice you to use a different location- at the least due to the owner's extremely unsympathetic and unhelpful attitude towards my package that was lost in his store. I would give this store 0 stars...
Read moreI wasn't home to sign for a UPS package during the day, so the driver left a note saying he would deliver it to the UPS Store at 1198 PCH in Seal Beach. The package was there, but the store had slapped their own (unauthorized) sticker on it that said I owed them $10. I knew this was BS and told him I had paid for shipping in full. He just shrugged. I asked if this was their charge, and he said it was. I paid the $10 because I wanted my package (which he rung up to "miscellaneous, non taxable," SCAM!). I went directly out to my car and called UPS. The customer service rep told me there should be no additional charge and called the store who, of course, denied any knowledge of this happening. I'm supposed to call the manager tomorrow, and if he resolved this satisfactorily, I'll update this review. But I strongly suspect they slap a $10 label on every single item and get away with 99% of it. FRAUD! UPS should disenfranchise this establishment. My next call is to...
Read morebe careful with these guys. they will try to nickel and dime you any chance they get. they took off insurance for my box because it wasnt thick enough. they charged me $10 extra dollars for an oversize box, citing a new rule enacted in novemeber stating 18x18x24 in boxes are oversized. there is no such rule. i prepay all my postage online. if there really was an extra charge, it should have went in that price automatically. i checked with corporate and several other ups stores. i havent had any problems ive had here at any other store. i ship boxes everyday.
edit: They did it again. This time, they didn't quote me any price and did it sneaky and charged my card without telling me. The description says "miscellaneous" and it's a charge of $10. I preorder all my shipping labels, so obviously this charge is fraudulent. It's annoying that this is the closest ups to my house and I have to go further to avoid...
