I recently visited the Majestic Bay with high hopes of enjoying a movie night. Unfortunately, my experience was far from enjoyable, largely due to the poor treatment I received from a staff member named Jeff.
My excitement to see "A Serbian Film" quickly turned into disappointment as I encountered an unprofessional and rude attitude from Jeff. From the moment I approached him with a question about the movie, he seemed disinterested and even condescending. It's disheartening to encounter such behavior when all I wanted was some information and assistance.
Moreover, the overall atmosphere of the theater did not meet my expectations. The seating was uncomfortable, and the cleanliness of the area left much to be desired. While I understand that different movies can attract varying audiences, I believe that every guest should be treated with respect, regardless of their movie choice.
I had hoped for a positive experience at the Majestic Bay, but unfortunately, Jeff's behavior and the overall conditions left me with a bitter taste. It's crucial for any establishment to prioritize customer service and create a welcoming environment for all patrons.
I hope that the management takes this feedback seriously and works towards improving both the customer service quality and the overall ambiance of the theater. As it stands, I cannot recommend the Majestic Bay based on my...
Read moreHad a pretty awful experience with them, which is a shame because I've gone to this theater many times before and I love supporting local companies.
I placed an order online (do not do this if you are reading) to go and see Oppenheimer. The payment went through, but apparently timed out on the redirect back to the Majestic Bay site. My card got charged despite me not getting my ticket - so I contacted support and informed them of the situation.
I thought it would be a simple problem for them to solve. Literally any company online will work with you on payment problems and get to the bottom of it. All it takes is one quick trip to the payment processor to see the posted transaction and see where things went wrong.
I received an email back from the manager Natali, informing me that there were no tickets in my name and that she could not help me, shutting down the conversation altogether. I sincerely doubt she even bothered to check the payment gateway, or much less shoot an email off to the IT person that manages it.
It's funny because tickets don't really cost that much, and I've spent much more money on worse things, but I feel so robbed. Just an overall 1/10 experience.
It probably goes without saying, but there's plenty of other theaters in Seattle. This one clearly isn't what...
Read moreI was excited to finally go in this iconic art deco theater. I had read some ten or so years ago it had been purchased for renovation. It was great that we didn't have to sit through trailers, a policy of this theater I have not seen elsewhere.
I guess that renovation never happened. The seats were butt-sprung and super uncomfortable. We fought and lost for armrest space. The art deco elements are mostly on the outside, so the interior was blah. Parking was available for the 7 pm Saturday show, - we paid for 3 hours to watch a movie that ran 2 hours plus fifteen. $8.59. The $1.59 was listed as tax?
But not the theater's fault. Pay for parking is part of city life.
The theater aisles were not lit along the floor, and we had to use cellphone flashlight once the lights went out, as inside it really does get Pitch Black, one movie I would return there to see.
I guess this place is best for it's neighborhood indie film festivals and the like.
One bonus is several same-block choices for eats, beers and ice cream. Sadly, Starbucks was closed by...
