I came in for a haircut today after my friend recommended I try Headlines. I showed the stylist pictures of what I was looking for but left very disappointed. I was looking for a light and feathery style, but it is uneven and very blunt. I tried to communicate with the stylist so he could make adjustments, but don’t feel I was listened to. After showering and trying to style it myself, I’m realizing that it is absolutely not what I asked for and doesn’t seem up to par with what a salon like this should accept. I tried calling to deal with this privately. I was looking for a refund so I could get this fixed at a salon I trust because I really don’t want them touching my hair again. They said they couldn’t give me a refund because the transaction had already been completed? Really disappointing, I wouldn’t recommend coming here.

I loved my experience at this salon, my hair stylist Mari was very attentive to my needs and concerns as I have very long, thick hair. As someone who likes to not look like I had my hair cut, she was very attentive to my requests and diligent in her work. I loved her work so much that I rebooked her for a balayage for the summer. She spent the entire time on her feet, working to get me to my summer goals. She was able to lift my hair and give me an overall, blended and cohesive look—I’ve recieved so many compliments and love it so much. I highly recommend coming to her as her work is of high quality and she herself is attentive and dedicated to her craft.

Lisa Marie fixed my hair! I came in with a pretty bad 'ombre' (see 'before' photo). I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted to do to fix it, and Lisa Marie spent almost an hour helping me look through my options. She was very honest about what she thought would work/not work, and about pricing, which I really appreciate! My 'after' photo doesn't do it justice, but I was super happy with the result! I super recommend this place, and specifically Lisa Marie :-)

Long story short (at the beginning for others' convenience): the quality of the place far outweighs the price! This place has the best deal out of any hair stylist I've been to.

First, I'd like to give a shoutout to Christine. Though she is working there as a student, she has what I consider professional experience with hair cutting and styling. She spoke with honesty, made great suggestions without being overbearing in the slightest, and was super duper helpful with my first time dying my hair. I didn't have to ask many questions about maintenance since she was giving pointers as we went, but when I did she gave great answers.

The thing that initially brought me in there though was the receptionist. I can't remember who I spoke with over the phone but out of the five different places I called, she was the only one who actually answered what questions I had about the establishment. Two places hung up on me after placing me on hold. One required you to leave a voicemail. The other just kinda...got irritated by the 3 questions I had and hung up. In case anyone else is wondering the same thing about this place, well, I'll post my 3 simple questions below.

Do you take walk-ins? Yeah, they do, which was kinda astonishing. During the call I made beforehand though, I did learn what time they generally wouldn't be busy/have other appointments though. It would probably be for the best to make an appointment here if you're doing something as drastic as I did (which was getting long hair cut short and dyed. I feel a little guilty about something so major with such little notice, but they were super nice nonetheless).

What is the average price range for a haircut? I believe they told me about 40-80$, which was accurate to the actual price I paid for the haircut. I believe I only had to pay 44$ for the expense of the cut in itself, but with the bleaching/dyeing included it was 86$. Considering how this haircut's going to work for me a long while and they provided great service (and free tea), I have absolutely no qualms over it. They earned it.

What are the hours? 9-9 most days. I can't remember their weekend hours, and I have no clue as to the schedules of any employees or whether or not they disclose that information. But hey you can...

Great hair dressers, poor management!

I’ve gone here for years and enjoyed cuts and colors from the various staff. The young hairdresser was new but talented. She colored my hair beautifully but told me she wasn’t trained yet on how to cut hair. She told me I would have to come back to see someone else for a cut. While I appreciate her honesty. The management/scheduling agent wasted my time, setting me up with someone who couldn’t complete the appointment. No matter, she’s learning. But then she charged me an additional $80 for a gloss on top of my $190 partial foil =$270.00!

I did not receive the gloss.

I returned to ask management for a $80 refund for the service I didn’t receive. They tried to tell me the toner was the same thing as a gloss. I’ve had my hair done for 40 years. I know a gloss and toner are different products used for different purposes. All of my foils include toner… even the grocery store foil kits include toners.

I asked for my $80 back or to give me a gloss and they asked me to...

Got my hair colored and cut today by Carly....Amazing job!!!! Grateful for a great cut & color during the pandemic. The best aspect was that the hair color matched my skin tone and I think that that is difficult to achieve. So, without makeup on I won't look weird or washed out and when I do wear makeup I won't need to make special purchases of makeup in order to get everything to line up together. The color also really helped how my eyebrows look now as everything looks more natural as in hair, skin-tone & eyebrows lining up. Carly is a "hair whisperer" .......As an aside: I have issues with frizzy hair....sigh...the products used & recommended by her REALLY worked so...bye, bye frizzy hair:) I wanted to give it a couple of weeks to be sure & I am really sure now (before I edited posting). The products recommended to me by Carly 100,000 percent removed all of my frizz that I had battled for YEARS!!! Frizzy hair is a NIGHTMARE:( Thanks so much...
