InSpa - University Village — Local services in Seattle

The service was fine, but at the end the nail technicain felt my toenails and said they were dry enough to leave the salon in my regular shoes, not the provided flip flops. Apparently they weren't and my pedicure was completely destroyed within 15 min. That's an honest mistake and had they fixed it I would have still left a very positive review.

I returned, as soon as I noticed (within 30 min of my appointment) and politely asked them to fix it. The person at the front desk flat out refused and told me I'd have to wait over an 1.5 hours. That's not acceptable, I have a life and I had other appointments I was willing to wear the disposable shoes and was told I wouldn't need to. It would have taken less than 10 min to repaint them. I told her I would accept a refund instead as I could not wait around, I had other appointments. She told me she was also not able to issue a refund. She seemed rather unapologetic about sending the message I was expected to pay full-price for a totally trashed pedicure unless I had nothing better to do than wait around for when someone happened to be free. Apparently no one at the front desk has any actual authority to do anything and they are totally unmoved if you are dissapointed in your service. I really regret tipping 20%, this place is already way more expensive than the competition and they don't provide the customer-oriented attitude to back it up.

I was told someone would call me back, no one ever did. We had to call them again, and they flat out refused to give a refund. Offering to have me drive all the way back after I've already left is not sufficient. They were SUPER unapologetic and they do not warrantly their work. They straight up told me "shouldn't have trusted the nail tech". Go elsewhere, they don't care if you are happy with your service or not and for the price they really...

Had a last lift done here about 5 years ago. The lady didn't seem to know what she was doing, the treatment was painful, and the result was some of my eyelashes being creased in half with even more falling out. Horrible. I called a couple days later to let them know it didn't take, after they said to me "don't worry that you don't see any curl right now, it might develop in a day or so" when I was checking out of my appointment with no results. They at least offered to put a credit back on my account in the amount that the lash lift was for.

I moved away for college and so I did not have many opportunities to utilize this credit right away, but I was specifically told that it wouldn't expire so I didn't feel rushed to make it into the spa again. However, I now inquired about the credit on my account wanting to use it to book some kind of service, and I just was told they couldn't find anything in my file about a credit, or even any kind of note regarding how terribly the lash lift service went for me (they did, however, see that I had the lash lift done. So, no one thought to leave a comment in my file about how badly it had gone..?). I asked if the credit had in fact expired, they said "it's possible". No offer of a solution to this or any interest expressed in wanting me to be willing to try InSpa again.

I wish I had insisted on getting reimbursed for the trash service I received here 5 years ago, but I made the mistake of trusting that the credit would remain safely on my account. Now I have no desire to ever give this place another chance since I was...

By far the worst and most un relaxing pedicure experience of my entire life. Such a disappointment. I specifically chose this place for Mother's Day to treat my Mom to something nice, and booked us reservations weeks in advance. The building looks very nice and the prices are sky high so I assumed we would be getting the ultimate comfort and relaxation experience.

Not sit with my Mom, but in an isolated chair across the room from her. They don't even give you the option to sit by your guest.

Stick my feet in a bowl of hot water. That's it. It's just a bowl of hot water, no jets, no foot massage, nothing else to it. LAME.

The most uncomfortable chairs EVER!!!

There is no place to even rest your legs and you sit there, basically in a non reclining office chair with your legs scrunched up like you're here for a Pap smear. I can't even believe how outrageously priced this place is. It was a horrible experience !!!

Oh and their color selection sucks!!! I had to chose a color I didn't even like because there's hardly any to chose from.

By the way, my nail technician did a fantastic job!! She is the only good part of this experience. But shame on the owners for price gouging customers just to give them such a low budget,...
