My husband and I initially intended to just browse suits for our wedding while we were in the area. We were fortunate enough to stop by on an evening when Alladin was working, and it was largely because of his top-notch service that we chose to buy here. A word to Men's Wearhouse: Aladdin is an asset to this company and I hope he is appreciated--and well compensated--for that. His level of service was intelligent and personable, and it felt as if he was helping us in his own personal tailoring boutique and not a corporate location within spitting distance from the mall. I wish, however, I could extend that to the rest of the staff. No one was ever unkind and only at one point was anything bordering on rude: when we came back to pick up our purchases, an associate was having trouble with the computer and was asking for help. The MOD (who seemed to be the AM) thought it best to shout suggestions across the store and treat the employee as if it were his fault rather than, y'know, getting up from where he was chatting with other employees to come over and assist. Not a great look and not how it seems to operate when Aladdin is there. It didn't help that both times we entered the store after our initial purchase, the first words out of anyone's mouth was, "RENTAL OR PURCHASE?" Not the most ideal greeting, and we could only surmise that this must make a difference for their commission. It seemed we would have gotten better service if we were renting or not following up on a sale that had been made. All-in-all, I am happy we made the choice to purchase from Men's Wearhouse and will continue to shop there in the future. 99% of the credit for that goes to Aladdin, and if he were to go elsewhere, we would...
Read moreDonât use menâs wearhouse for your wedding, their systems are outdated and disconnected.
I received an email to get fitted for a wedding group. I made the fitting appointment in store. I got charged $250. I asked the other groomsmen if they were charged and they said no. So I went into the store and explained what happened; they tried calling customer service to see if a card was on file but it was late in the day so they were closed. The manager told me he would call me the next day, never heard back.
So I went back in today and spoke with someone else. They told me since my payment had been accepted in the store, they couldnât cancel it and put it on the grooms card (that was originally used for the reservation) without the groom getting on the phone with customer service and providing his card number again. She mentioned something about the reservation getting reset if you go into a store when it was originally booked online. Apparently itâs a known issue.
As you can imagine, I didnât want to burden the groom with this in the midst of him planning a wedding. But the person helping me didnât think it was a big deal to ask him to do that, or ask him reimburse me. Also, apparently the people in the store donât have access to the card information on file; they have to call customer service to determine if there is a card for a reservation.
So, if you want to avoid hassle, awkwardness, and headaches, use...
Read moreWe had the worst experience working with Men's Warehouse for my wedding. The sales staff is rather good, but everything after that has been a complete blunder. They upgraded their system to a retail account and rental account and for some idiotic reason these two accounts don't talk to each other or share any information.
My fiance and I went in and picked out a combination of suits to purchase, ties, pants, and shirts for rent. They took down the entire bridal parties information and said... no worries it's all in the system. When my guys showed up, nothing was in the system. A complete cluster F#$#. Some info was in a rental account and the retail account was never actually entered. My guys had to go in 3-4 different times to give their measurements and EACH and and EVERY time this information vanished without being recorded in some type of simple database. Trying to get grooms men in for a fitting ONCE is difficult enough... so on top of the wedding planning this made things a nightmare. What's more is that the ties they purchased didn't match and the sizes of vests weren't correct either. This experience added tremendously to the stress of our big day, and we first went in to set up the account 8 months in advance. So, plenty of time... but a HUGE HUGE disappointing. This company has lost my business forever. Don't take a bridal party to this place or you will regret...
