I've had experience getting my eyelashes done for 7 years before and this has got to be the worst experience. I came 2 years ago to get my eyelashes done for 4 consecutive months and it was fine then. I moved shortly after to another state and moved back to Seattle recently. I decided to come back to this place because I thought my experience 2 years ago was decent.
Before making my reservation, I asked if they did wispy lashes as I've seen them post on IG similar styles that I wanted. They said they do so we proceeded to book. I had already a few weeks old extensions and needed them removed for a full set. During the removal, she used a very sticky removal solution and proceeded to cover with a saran wrap (I've never had my lashes removed like this before?). Afterwards, she yanked and pulled my old extensions off instead of lightly brushing them off. She cleaned my naturals lashes with what felt like a toothbrush? It was so rough compared to the soft brushes that come with lash shampoo you buy online. At this point, I was feeling traumatized and instant regret.
The application process was another headache. The eyelash station does not have its own room and just located next to their nail working stations with a curtain to separate the space. As she was working on my eyelashes, she's chatting and laughing away with her coworker while working on my eyes (?!). Her tweezers were poking my eyelid multiple times as she's giggling away, so unprofessional and not relaxing. I've shed many tears from the process and just wanted to leave. When she was done, she fanned my eyes for literally a second and told me to open them. Instantly my eyes felt like it was burning because the glue didn't dry yet. I bared with the pain and quickly paid and left.
Upon arriving home, I inspected the eyelashes and noticed she did not isolate my natural lashes and used SO MUCH glue to layer a bunch of single lashes into a clumpy mess. From a far, it looks ok but when you look closely the roots was clinging onto each other and not isolated at all. I could not comb through my lash extensions.
I was hesitant to write this review because if encountered with a bad experience I tend to not go back to the place and let it be. However after a week, my extensions still felt clumpy and I still can't brush through them, I've decided to have them removed somewhere else. The person removing them had such a hard time removing Naillist's lash extensions and even after removing the extensions there was still a lot of glue left on my natural ones. I will never again come to this salon for extensions. I'm sure they are better at doing nails and nail art but lash extensions is not their...
Read moreI have been to many nail salons and this has been by far the best experience for my manicure.
The day before I went to In Spa Bellevue to have a pedicure and a impromptu French manicure done, one night and the manicure was already falling apart. Rather disappointed, I filed a complaint. Customer service refunded me.
I called Naillist for an appointment for the following night. My friend and I, saw Naillist when dining upstairs at Fort Saint George and have been curious about the place. Finally got a chance to check them out yesterday! Met the owners Derrick and Sasha. Finally a nail salon own and operated by Chinese people.
This nail salon likes to keep up with what is trending. I showed them a picture what I wanted in a French nail design, told them it could be similar or close to but not exactly if need be. Echo was my nail tech. She took her time in removing the shellac In Spa did the night before. Took her time the whole time she did my manicure. The finally result, she nailed the picture I showed her. This is first time ever I have had a nail salon not use a white tip in a normal French manicure which I didn't want.
One night, my nails feel strong. I was told could last 3 weeks. Excellent job, I will be back and referring my friends.
It is nice to patronize and support local small business that opened up during this unsure time do to covid19.
Fantastic experience and I...
Read moreSasha does an incredible job with Lash Extension. The first appointment I was unfortunately 15 minutes late 😬 I didn’t allow enough buffer time between my appts—don’t do that! Show up on time so she has all the time she needs to do the awesome job that she knows how to do. Better yet, show up 10-15 mins early just in case she’s able to start early.
I brought a photo of what I was wanting, but because I arrived late Sasha wasn’t able to do exactly that because it required more time. Even still my new set of lashes looked amazing! And I got lots of compliments and people saying that they looked natural. (Which is the look I wanted).
My second visit I went in for a fill, but I wanted more of a Cat Eye look with various lengths. To do that Sasha said she’d have to remove my first set and start over. Which I was okay with. (Again, show up early! So she can do her job. :) might not mean she’ll be able to start right on time, but at least she’ll be able to manage her By Appointment Only (no walk-Ins) schedule.
I now have a 2nd set of beautiful lashes. This time more Cat Eye. Oh and as well, barely any lashes fell off in the one month since my first appt. I washed them gently with baby shampoo and carefully blotted them with a towel. As well I avoided putting anything oily near my eye area.
All in all, I highly recommend Nailist for lashes. And for nails—it’s a VERY clean and...
