I just moved to the area and was looking for a new stylist, and I gave this shop a try. My hair cut was alright, although I had to explain it twice and show pictures before My Tran understood what I wanted. After the cut, she complained that cutting my hair was difficult (it's a very easy and simple men's hair cut, similar to high and tight, she didn't even have to cut the top). My partner's hair cut was terrible. It wasn't blended like he asked, and there were stray hairs that missed any cutting at all. It looked messy and unfinished. She also improperly thinned the top, which caused the entire look to seem cheap and blotchy. He even asked her not to, and she did it anyway.
On top of that, the building was hot, and combined with masks/unbreatheable single use coverings, I was sweaty and miserable the entire time. We kept light conversation which was fine. She is very friendly. She also asked me to sit in an awkward position due to her sub par cutting chairs that had no vertical movement, and I was hurting due to a back injury. She did not seem to notice or care that I was uncomfortable.
Now for the cost. We were told $12 each when we contacted them for appointments, but they charged $18 each due to the "difficulty" of the very simple men's cut, I would assume. I didn't ask why it was $10 more expensive than what they quoted us. I just paid, tipped much less than I normally would for hair cuts, and will never be back.
$18 for a simple men's haircut is not a bad price, but I don't like being lied to, and the haircut and...
Read moreI went here on a whim to have a simple trim done ($11 for women), and loved the results. The owner/stylist has been in business for years, and there is a reason why...
After the quality of my trim, I returned for an eyebrow wax. At $8, she did an amazing job. Don't expect a ritzy salon, this is your neighborhood dive salon... but the results were amazing.
Finally, I decided to give a half head of foiled in highlights a try. I wanted a caramel color... not quite blonde since my hair is natually dark. The job cost me $55 on my just beyond shoulder length hair and I am still getting compliments on how great it looks.
The only peeves I have are that the place could use a good cleaning... and perhaps some paint with an update to the decor. However, the prices can't be beat and she does an amazing job!

Read moreI walked in with my 4 year old daughter and the gal was nice & friendly. There was already a chair with a booster seat set up for kids which was nice. She was great with my daughter, very patient, super sweet and kept a smile on her face the whole time. I cant imagine how hard it must be to cut children's hair, but she did a fantastic job considering my kid was wiggly and turning her head all over the place. I had previously been taking my daughter to specialty kid hair salons with all the tv's with cartoons, toys, and where they sit in a big wheel but it never really prevented her from squirming all over the place and moving her head in every direction while getting a cut. And this was only $10 (fyi, cash only!) I will definitely be...
