My experience with Solid Ground. 9/2024, I reached out seeking assistance during a vulnerable time. Akeele was my intake person. She shared resources and informed me that once I get situated, I can receive financial assistance. July/2025, I reached out the second time via email and voicemail. No response. I requested to speak with her supervisor to express my concern and why I'm in need. Celestine gave me a lecture about how many families/individuals are seeking help. I understand that I just don't understand what this has to do with me. Celestine told me Akeele did exactly what she was supposed to do. Well, I disagree. When I found a stable, safe place and reached out for assistance. Akeele never told me in the past or present. A person can not sign a lease and get help. So, from July 21, 2025, until August 12, 2025, she couldn't give me this vital information. I tell you Hoarder of Resources is real, and rather, its information, opportunities, or access to anything that will bring one up is getting more and more scarce. My issue with Solid Ground is that I visited their office in 2024. Here it is, August 2025, leaving that out, leading them to deny me assistance. Then you get advice to seek other agencies knowing 🙄 it's scarce out here. How many families had the same experience? How many families signed a lease while waiting for help? Who is getting the information, and who is not? I don't want this to happen to another family/individual in need. Be aware if your seeking help with move in cost do not...
Read moreI have been through three very traumatizing housing situations so far. One factually included a person who would be found in court to be legally insane, and the other one showed instability that was dangerous, aggressive, and clearly not well. I was forced to block my own roommates. When I called Solid Ground, they did nothing. All they did was say that they did not provide housing. Then, they showed hesitancy to help me when I wasn't able to deal with certain details due to be in bodily danger. They provided me no safety and no shelter, and I was forced to find other places to feel safe. I now have a misdemeanor for being in a park to avoid the legally insane person's harassment, who I also reported to the Lynnwood police. This could have been prevented if Solid Ground had done their job a year before. Please do not support them. I'm sorry. I did everything I could to help this organization. They did not serve the community. They made my burden worse. I have consistently suffered housing issues, three in a row now for a year. If they should help anyone, I am the picture of someone they purport to serve. Now they want $500,000 in grants. My answer is no. These grants need to go to institutions that actually help the most obvious victims. I'm sorry I was pushed to this review. This organization is truly incompetent. Investors, please do not support them. I hope that the city finds somewhere else to send on 211, instead of wasting their time with Solid Ground. That money truly would be...
Read moreI live here and let me tell you, for a non profit, there is a lot of FRAUDULENT ACCOUNTING AND "FOR PROFIT" TAX DEDUCTIBLES THAT ARE BEING DOUBLE DIPPED. HOWEVER, WHEN MY FAMILY AND I REQUEST RENTAL ASSISTANCE, THEY DONT HAVE ANY AT ALL,BUT REFERED US TO ANOTHER COMPANY,SO FILLED OUT THE FORM GAVE TO AMADANYO/CASE-UNWORKER, AND I STILL HAVENT HEARD ANYTHING, BUT HIS CO-UNWORKER, OLIVER, HEARD THEY CAME UP WITH SOMETHING. LONG SORRY SHORT, I CALLED THE THIRD PARTY AGENCY DIRECTLY AND SOLID GROUND AND MERCY HOUSING WERE REFUSING "SOME MONIES FROM AGENCIES FOR CERTAIN RESIDENTS" ...FINALLY RESOLVED,HOWEVER, I LEARNED: NON PROFIT IS JUST AS FRAUDULENT AS PROFIT, EVEN MORE SO BECAUSE THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO BE HELD AT A HIGHER STANDARD. ALSO MAINTENANCE BULLIES RESIDENTS AND NEVER FIXES ANYTHING, LET ALONE...
