I saw great things about this place based on the reviews and the pictures seemed promising. I also knew someone who went here who also said great things about this place so I was excited to try it out. I regret it.

The technician, Hannah who did my nails felt like they were rushing to get me out the door. I had book a soak off + new gel x set. During the soak off process, she e-filed my old set off which is completely fine, I understand there’s safe protocols and procedures surrounding the way they do things, however it was the way she did it she was efiling so aggressively on my nail it hurt my actual nail bed and at one point she efiled onto my actual finger and I flinched out of shock. Every time she went to efile my nails I felt so tense and scared that it was going to hurt again. I thought they’d use acetone but saw in another review w/ someone who had similar experiences that they don’t do acetone soak offs. Overall, the entire prep process seemed very aggressive. Because of this, my hands were so tense and she’d be constantly telling me to relax my hands. I was too scared to say anything in the moment because I’m not a confrontational person, but I wish she was more gentler.

Upon reading further reviews, I saw that other people had the same experience with her with the fact they felt she rushed through it, was aggressive with her efiling methods. My nails looked okay in the end but she didn’t even put cuticle oil on which is what every nail salon I’ve been to has done. I started going to their old salon location a couple years ago to get my nails and toes done and I’ve always loved the results. No matter who works on me it’s always a pleasant exchange a nice visit and excellent work. After an extended trip away from home and having my nails done at various places around the country, I couldn’t wait to get back to Jenny salon. There’s just no comparison. If you want your nails done right and you want them to last, is the salon to go to. Recently, I switched from powder dipped to gel X and I love the gel X because you can get it filled, and I love the shape of them. I also started getting my eyelashes done here and wow so many compliments everywhere I go— it’s been a real confidence booster. Thank you, Jenny and Johnny and everyone else on the staff. I’ll see you all again this afternoon for a touchup! And then I’ll post a photo here.

I am shocked at how poor of an experience I had at Jenny Nails Salon with all the good reviews.

First a booked an appointment for Gel-X with specifically Jenny but Hannah ended up doing my nails instead. Sure that’s fine but then there’s no point in making an appointment then. It wasn’t amazing art but it did the job.

The awful part was when I came back for Gel-X removal. You cannot convince me that it is fine and normal to ONLY e-file everything off. No acetone was used. Layers of my nails came off and now I have very sensitive and weak nails from improper removal. I now have random bumps and grooves in my nail and will have to wait months for my nails to not bend at the lightest touch. This indicates nothing but laziness of the employee to just speed through filing off half my nail.
