Seattle Trick-or-Treaters, This Street's the Spot for Candy!
Love N GratitudeLove N Gratitude
Pros: Tasty peanut butter cup caramel Cons: When I first bit into the peanut butter cup, it had a hardness/crunch to it. By the second bite, it had softened, maybe due to the heat of my hands. I wasn’t sure if this particular piece was stale though. I was not greeted coming in the store. I had turned around to leave and that’s when someone popped up from behind the counter and greeted me, almost knocking the wits out of me. It was completely empty, which is never a good sign. However, usually in a recession, these types of specialty stores become more of a novelty than a necessity. It just depends on a number of factors.

The Confectionery made us the sweetest little boxes and treat table for us at our wedding! They were incredibly easy to work with and the attention to detail was incredible. It was a nice way to give our guests a little treat as a way to say thank you for attending. We even stopped by the store on our honeymoon to pick up a box and chocolates for ourselves. We can't recommend them enough!

It’s a lovely little shop, but what the photos don’t show is that it’s not a traditional candy store where you can fill up a bag - you have to either buy pre-bagged candy (quite marked up and At a fixed quantity) or have the store clerk fill a bag for you behind the counter, all which is priced by the pound. A combination of poor eyesight and anxiety about disturbing the only clerk in the store, who was already busy with restocking shelves, led to my exit from the store empty handed. Their selection doesn’t hit on many candy store fan favorites (such as sour belts or many standard sour candies), but they appear to have an excellent variety of high end chocolates and classic (old school) candies. Disappointing though, since I was looking for a candy store where I could find regular candy...

This place is super cute and cozy little candy store but not until I walked in one day and the staff here look very unhappy. First of all no good customer service not even a hi or hello when they see you walk in. I came in here to buy a bunch of candies to put into my daughter’s guest birthday party bags and upon checkout the lady behind the counter ask me if I want a bag. Yes please! I said and then I realize how in the world am I going to carry those tiny candies out from the store. Thats the most weird question I ever heard! I understand if Im doing grocery shopping—yes I do bring my own personal grocery shopping bag with me. I think this place should be welcoming because its a candy store (a happy sweet store) but I guess not and Im not...
