Be aware of this (must read before you buy): If you buy a Razer laptop (not accessories) and decide to return or switch configuration later, you will be charged 15% restock fee if you choose a lower price model (or return it), as long as you open the box.
When I bought a $3K+ laptop, I asked the seller I might need to switch to other model since OLED screen might not fit my eyes well. The seller told me there is 2 week return policy and I could bring it back anytime if I decide to switch. She DIDN't mention the 15% restock policy at all. I would have consider more if I know the return/switch was very expensive.
So now I had 3 options: 'donate' $400 to switch to a cheaper non-OLED model, actually I need to pay more eventually. Take it back, admit your own mistake and be silly (maybe I am). Buy an more luxury one, such as the $4k models.
I didn't want to comment on the policy itself, although it seems strange to me since now APPLE/MICROSOFT/BestBuy store has 2 week return policy without any charge even you use it. It's an industry standard to me.
BUT, the seller should notify the customer explicitly when I made decision and asked her without any doubt and made sure customer understand it. When I asked another worker there, he told me: "you should check the receipt since this policy is printed." What? Shouldn't it be the seller's responsibility to notify and what's the point for printing it on receipt? When I get a receipt that means I have already bought it and decide to use it soon, then the policy just means "you can either return it without open the box and test it, which makes you a stupid buyer, or open it at your own risk for a 15% cost for your 3k+ device, no regret! "
The device is good, but the sellers in store left me a very bad impression for being ignorant...
Read moreHave been in this store/location a handful of times and always been appreciative of the staff's knowledge. This most recent time (7/29/24) I spoke to Willow about an issue I was having on my 2021 Blade 15 with the trackpad's "mouse clicks." She was able to share her thoughts and some anecdotes about possible causes (swelling battery being top of mind).
Willow provided me with a few options on how to move forward and even shared some reference materials and links to help me make an informed decision. (Austin was also there and chimed in a couple times with his own experiences, supporting Willows triage/diagnosis). Surprise, surprise, Willow was 100% correct and I am now typing this review on my laptop (sans battery).
Following that chat, she took the time to discuss potential upgrade questions I had about the models Razer released this year and some of the benefits/considerations between various components of the tech they had.
When I do inevitably upgrade/purchase a new device, I will be back and supporting this store and their staff in person.
Thanks again Willow (and Austin) for...
Read moreI recently visited the Razer Store in person, and it was an absolute blast! Being able to physically test out all the products really made the shopping experience stand out. I spent time interacting with their various keyboards, testing out different switches, and trying out the unique feel of each one. It's one thing to read reviews online, but getting hands-on and seeing (and feeling) the quality of Razer’s products in person made all the difference.
The staff were super friendly and knowledgeable, offering helpful advice without being pushy. I could really take my time to explore different options and figure out what worked best for me. The store itself had a great vibe—well-lit, spacious, and packed with all their latest gear.
I ended up finding the perfect keyboard, and I couldn't be happier with my choice. The tactile feedback and responsive keys are a game-changer! If you're serious about finding the right tech for your setup, I highly recommend visiting the Razer Store for an immersive and...
