Sedalia Galaxy 10 — Local services in Sedalia

I’m not one to be a “Karen” or leave bad reviews, but this is literally the worst Cinema I have ever been to in my life. I say that having a brother-in-law who is a Filmmaker, and a sister who both have worked at multiple Cinema’s across Missouri. I’ve seen about 7 movies here, and 4 of them either glitched, blacked out the screen halfway, or started 20+ minutes after the showing time. Also, the AC does not work in most of the theatres which makes for an uncomfortable experience. The employees appear to be almost all teenagers who are in the back chatting or unable to be found. The 90’s aesthetic is nice, and the overall quality isn’t horrific, but whoever is doing the hiring and the projection needs to either be trained better or replaced. As a previous manager, I know first hand that when you have problems consistently like this within a workplace, it shows poor management, which may be the biggest issue. When families take their kids/friend to a movie and spend money, they shouldn’t have to wait 30 minutes for the movie to begin or experience glitching as if we were watching a DVD. B&B was definitely not prepared to have multiple films with the same starting time. Arrived at about 7 for a 7:15 show and didn't get through the door until 7:20. Then stood in line for concessions for another 15 minutes. Our popcorn wasn't warm and had no salt and soda was flat. I even commented about it sounding like one of the soda's was empty because the machine was going spastic as we walked by the rear door to the concessions. Turns out it was the Dr. Pepper we had in our hands.

Theater-wise the sound and picture quality were pretty good. We saw the new Top Gun and with all the jet scenes it kind of came alive with the bass of the speakers.

When B&B bought out the old owners, it came with the expectation of some upgrades or remodeling. It's definitely 1997 inside still. The galaxy carpet and blue tiling are still there. So not exactly sure when/if any upgrades will ever happen, but other B&Bs across the area are definitely a level above what this...

Obviously prices are a little steep no matter where you are going to go, that being said, this theatre is worth it! We showed up about 4 to watch insidious. The place was a ghost town wich suited us just fine. We got the theater to ourselves. It was AWESOME. I came to review this not because of the empty theatre or even the cleanliness. I want to tell you guys to go because the staff was AMAZING. My daughter had brought a stuffed animal with her since it was a scary movie & we took pictures in the parlor next thing you know were halfway through the movie & she starts getting pretty upset & cannot find it. So we go the car (😅without tickets so we are now locked out) the front staff let us right in when they heard our story & the attendants @ the concessions knew exactly what we were looking for made us give a short description & then returned her stuffed "milky" Needless to say she was thrilled & we finished our Movie without incident.
