I can sum it up in one word…WOW! |My family and I travel a lot for martial arts, so to say we have been to many hotels is an understatement. |This hotel, despite being a part of a major chain, is small and really feels like home. The train station decor is absolutely stunning. |The guest services was absolutely impeccable. The manager, Mykel, truly enjoys making sure her guests have a great experience. |We only planned on staying one night, but then a severe weather system started rolling through and we needed a place to stay. Mykel extended our stay with ease, despite us already checking out. |When the storms, including the tornado warnings, begun rolling in, Sierra and Kristy remained calm and got to work. |We were sitting in the lobby socializing with friends and watched both of the begin calling every room to inform the guests of the tornado warning. They then guided, that chose to go, to take shelter in a designated corridor in the hotel’s basement. Though I knew Kristy was already stressed due to it being her first night on a new shift, she remained calm and took care of the guests. |Prior to the storms rolling in, our group was socializing and talking about experiences we had at other hotels. Sierra was doing a little ear hustling and grew concerned that we were talking about this hotel. We assure her we were not and expressed our pleasure with this hotel. She then became engaged in our conversation. Jokingly, my wife mentioned the lack of towels folded like swans and chocolates on the pillows. Sierra then proceeded behind the hotel and began “folding towels”. Little did we know, she was folding up a towel dog! She presented to my wife along with a little rubber ducky and Hersey’s kisses. |Again, the guest experience was absolutely amazing and they did a fantastic job taking care of those that were fearful due to the storms. |I am that type of person that needs milk before bed. Due to the storms I forgot to stop and get some…Mykel and Stacey to the rescue! Mykel gave the approval to Stacy to ensure I had milk before bed and allowed me to get some from the breakfast area. |If you’re passing through or just want a getaway, this is the...
Read moreUsually I do not bother to write Google Reviews; unless the experience was SUBERB! We experienced a problem when we booked this stay with another online site. The reservation site date reverted to the following Monday -NOT the Monday before which my wife thought we were booking; and the submit button locked us into the WRONG date. Throughout the day we made calls to the Comfort Inn concerning the error and the issue trying to correct the situation. The Comfort Inn front desk explained their position-listened intentently and answered our questions with a degree of professionalism not witnessed in many other chains! Arriving at the property we found the positive reviews of other visitors to be five star and accurate: Location-Cleanliness-Customer Service. NOT just an individual; but the ENTIRE staff! Breakfast went beyond the usual Ho Hum hotel morning breakfast. Their biscuits (and gravy) were tremendous=fluffy yet crunchy. I am a talker; so I asked what their secret was??? The reply: Pillsbury flour. While eating I spoke to s staff member who turned out to be the maintenance person saying that she enjoyed working there and management and staff worked together as a "well oiled machine". I am also an OBSERVER. At 8am a woman arrived in the breakfast area and inspected the presentation of each menu item and the cleanliness of the area. I respected that concern and follow-up. Her actions and the manner in which she conducted herself made it evident that she was person in charge. I was amazed that a few moments later she reviewed everything one more time. I worked retail ALL my life. This indicates how the entire operation is managed. In the end; most retailers are the same......but customer service makes the DIFFERENCE! I am impressed by this comfort Inn and it's STAFF! Than You ALL for a breath of fresh air in a...
Read moreI booked a room here for my wedding night, and so did my entire family and bridal party. An hour after my wedding I was left a voicemail saying that my room had been sold because I did not check in by 6. My ceremony was at 5, there was no way I would have been able to check in by then. Also, the front desk told me that I couldn’t check in until after 3pm. I do not understand why it mattered what time I checked in when I reserved my room 6 months in advance and have a credit card number. Normal hotels would have just charged me if I never showed up. I have NEVER had my room sold from under me if I didn’t not check in at a certain time. At midnight I listened to this voicemail while leaving my wedding and heard my room was sold. I was tired and devastated that we did not have a room to stay in that I booked 6 MONTHS OUT! The worst thing was that when I called the front desk, they said there was nothing that they could do and I did not have a room. Only after I complained to the front desk did they say “oh well, it looks like your room wasn’t sold and is available so we can go ahead and let you stay here.” Are you kidding me??? I did not have any other choice but to stay there since by this time it was almost 1 am. I am soooo mad that my family and I paid you guys money to stay. I was highly dissatisfied how the front desk handled this. I will not be resturning and will tell all family and friends to not...
