It is kind of weird for me to review Chinese Buffet but this time I have to say out loud 📣📣📣 I can say this place is one of the best Chinese buffet I ever had in Texas and be the best out of more than 10 Chinese buffet from Austin to the South. Their food are fresh, variety, and delicious!!! Especially seafood. My most favorite dish was crayfish, it is outstanding! You can see from it look and all ingredients cloth the crayfish. At first I tried, it was so flavorful and not just cajun style as other places but it is more like spicy-sweet chili and garlic sauce so it was amazing and I had 3 plates of that lol Not only crayfish but also ohter seafood dishes are really good, fried garlic salted shrimps were very fresh and not too dry as other places. Fried shrimp in sweet milky dressing or can called as Emperor Shrimps (mostly served with Chinese style salad) that dish was good as well Baked cheese mussels were delicious Overall it worth to drive from South Austin for me and definitely be back Only one thing I have to mention was crispy wonton for soup, it was crispy but bad smell. It was probably prepared for long time so that cause the old smell so I couldn't even finish and throw away at the end.

I went to Seguin for an errand and stumbled upon this gem of a buffet. Compared to most San Antonio buffets, this one truly stands out. The sushi, crab, shrimp, dumplings, and everything else looked far better than what you typically find at other buffets. The staff was warm and friendly, creating a welcoming atmosphere. What really sets this buffet apart is the fact that most of the chefs are Asian, which adds a layer of authenticity to the food. They are mentally preparing the dishes as they would for themselves, ensuring the flavors are rich and true to tradition. The psychological cultural connection when cooking is reflected in every bite, making the experience all the more genuine. Additionally, the buffet features a hibachi bar, where you can have fresh dishes cooked right in front of you. The seasoning of the food is spot on—nothing was overly salty, just perfectly balanced. When dining here, one is unlikely to season anything. The only downside, and it's a minor one, is that they didn't have steak knives, only butter knives.

If you like MEAT, this buffet is for you! I have been to the Grand Buffet several times since moving to this region last year. It has never disappointed me. When it comes to meat dishes, they have it. Fish, Pork, Beef, or Chicken, the got the meat, and lots of it. They don't have many ready dishes with lots of veggies, but they do have the grill where you can make your own recipe, which is what I prefer anyway. My wife is a sushi person and enjoys their sushi bar. The food has always been hot fresh no matter time or day I have gone, and the staff has always been attentive, but not intrusive, which is something I value. The Bottom Line: The Grand Buffet is a notch above the rest as far as buffets go and if you are in Seguin, Texas you should give them a try.

Do not ask to use their private room unless you expect for other customers to be placed in the room along with your guests, even though there are other tables available in the dining room.

When I called to reserve the room, I was told that in the event that the restaurant became full, overflow customers will be placed in the room with us. I asked if this happened regularly and I was told no, it did not. So on the day of our event, there was first a table of 10 customers seated in our party room. I immediately contacted Hui, the person at the restaurant who made my reservation, and advised him that there were tables open in the main dining room and that there was no need for these guests to be placed in our room. He told me there was 10 people and they needed to put tables together. I Told him that there were tables Available in The main dining area they could put together and he told me “no”.

About 20 minutes later, another party of about six people and 3 loud kids, were seated in that room - even though there were even more free tables available in the main Dining room due to other guests leaving.

Hui came to me with the bill and tried apologizing to me. I confirmed to him that there was no need for the people to be in our room and he then blatantly lied and told me because of a large party in the main dining room, they had no more tables to seat the newly added party. The party in the main dining room was seated after they had already seated the additional people in our party room.

Complete lack of customer service and they did not keep with their word. We had 25 people that purchased buffets. Many more than either of the unwanted guests that they Seated in our room. And the...

A Culinary Wonderland at Grand Buffet!

If you’re looking for the best buffet experience its here! offering an extensive selection of dishes from around the world. Whether you're in the mood for savory Asian cuisine, classic American comfort food, or mouthwatering desserts, you’ll find it here. The sushi bar is a standout feature, with fresh rolls made daily, and the carving station serves up perfectly cooked meats that are irresistible.

What I appreciate most is the attention to detail in the presentation and flavors of each dish. Everything is freshly prepared, and you can taste the quality in every bite. Don’t forget to save room for dessert— the dessert bar is a sugary paradise with an array of cakes, pastries, and ice cream that will satisfy even the biggest sweet tooth!

The value for your money at Grand Buffet is unbeatable. You can indulge in unlimited servings without breaking the bank. It’s perfect for those who want to try a little bit of everything.

Overall, I highly recommend Grand Buffet to anyone looking for a delightful dining experience. It’s not just a meal; it’s a celebration of flavors that promises to leave you satisfied and happy. I can’t wait to come back and explore more of their...
