I stayed here for about two and a half weeks. I had originally planned to get another hotel in a different city, once my first week was up; however, not only did it make no sense to relocate, but I was very comfortable at this hotel. Great nightly rate, too! Per my request, I was given a room that was located in a nearly perfect spot. I was able to park in the same section of parking spots every day, and could see my vehicle from my room's window, which was one of the factors in my comfort. Unfortunately, this room was passed by other guests, housekeeping, and what sounded like workers speaking with management - frequently, loudly, and/or early in the morning/in the middle of the night. I do not hold this against the hotel, as that is part of hotel living. I also do not hold it against the hotel that some guests don't know how to control their volume both in and out of their room; between getting woken up before 0600 by a loud conversation outside my door (about strippers, of all things), and hearing very loud, weird sex noises in the room next to me late at night, it was an interesting experience for several days of my stay. 🤣 The noise level from both the main street and the interstate, were as expected - fairly loud. While this bothers some people, it did not phase me one bit, as it is clearly shown on a map that such things run along the hotel - so I was aware of these definite sources of sounds and expected it. One cannot expect to be free of hearing vehicles when a hotel is located so closely to where vehicles are constantly passing. If it bothers you, don't stay at a hotel in such an area; if you do, don't give the hotel poor reviews, solely based off of that. 🤷♀️ As we are and have been in a pandemic, staff took the necessary steps to make sure guests were safe. Masks were worn, there is a divider at the counter, and the complimentary breakfast was a "grab and go." This meant the food wasn't anything but simple stuff to take back with you to your room, but there was a decent variety of items daily and they were mostly well-stocked. Housekeeping wore proper PPE and seemed to take extra time to clean the rooms. I say "seemed to," as I could only tell from when they were in the next room; I did not have anyone clean during my stay, as I am a very clean person, don't trash hotel rooms, and prefer to reuse towels more than a couple of times to conserve water, etc. Which brings me to the cleanliness part of my review: no complaints here! My room looked and smelled great when upon my first time entering at check-in. Everything was neat and clean; there were plenty of towels, hand towels, and washcloths; and the bed was inviting. The hotel room's door was a little off, so there was some light coming through during the day, but it closed and locked properly. The air conditioning worked very well. There was no bathroom ventilation fan, so the mirrors and window of my room fogged up every time I would shower, as I left open the door to the commode and tub room while I bathed. There were a few flying insects I noticed during the entirety of my stay, but they weren't caused by any pest issue or negligence from the hotel. Shoot, they may have come in through the door at night when they saw the light, who knows. The pillows were so weird, lol. I used two to properly support my head and neck as I slept, as one just felt lumpy and flat without another. The bed itself was as comfortable as it gets - not too firm nor too soft. The ladies I worked with at the counter, were very friendly and helpful. One in particular, Miss Erin, was a joy to speak with and made my day with our chats. She's wonderful and deserves recognition! 😊 I was actually disappointed to leave when I checked out; this was my first stay in a hotel alone, and as I said, I was so comfortable. I also felt very safe, which is strange to say, as I was in an unfamiliar city and didn't know what to expect from the people nor businesses. Let the fact that I extended my stay TWICE, prove why I highly recommend this hotel. Thank you,...
Read moreWe stayed at this hotel to be close to our granddaughter's graduation on May 23rd. We spent 3 nights in room 121. This hotel is an older property, but very well maintainted.||Typically I do not stay at pet friendly hotels, but when doing price comparisons for hotels in the area, this one was a great deal. I had no issues at all with a reaction to animal scent like typical simply because the rooms are kept that clean!||There is laminate flooring which is so helpful in pet friendly hotels. Our room was serviced daily, and was kept spotless.||The grounds of this property was impressively clean, the pool was still closed based on the time of year - but looked as though they were getting it ready for the summer season.||We did not eat at the continental breakfast bar - but did enjoy the coffee machine of the evening. ||The front desk staff members were very helpful and pleasant, couldn't ask for better service.||My husband and I travel a lot (been to all 50 states) and we were very impressed with this hotel, realizing that management had updated so much of this hotel and keeping it very clean. ||As a side note, the walls are thin, but that's found in most older hotels everywhere. And it is exterior entrances to the rooms, but our room had 2 deadbolts, plus there were security cameras very visible in the parking area - we felt safe at this hotel. ||We would stay here upon a return visit...
