The shower water was warm. The staff was very kind prices were high for what the rate on Google maps said also things that I noticed it says that there’s breakfast and it’s free but today when asked, they said you don’t offer free food but it’s a part of your amenities, so all the visit was pleasant but unpleasant that you say there is breakfast And then you don’t serve the breakfast so that’s the only real reason. I got a room here last night because I’m driving from Quebec to Florida and I wanted to eat free breakfast at a hotel. It said you guys had it but upon trying to find it this morning you guys told me you don’t have that so I would just suggest you guys and when I say you guys, I mean really the owner or general manager whoever it is that looks at the reviews. I suggest you take it off of your advertisements because that’s false advertising saying hey we do breakfastand then not do breakfast or even still if you guys do breakfast but this morning whoever you have working there didn’t wanna set up breakfast you know you just need to take it off because there’s no free breakfast there and that’s really a downer. also I was there from 12 AM till 10:45 AM and it says $43 a day you guys tried to charge me $158 and I wasn’t even here for a full 12 hours. I would have given five stars but because you don’t serve breakfast and even if you say oh I’m sorry, sir we serve breakfast but still doesn’t fix like a you didn’t serve breakfast today so false advertising on free breakfast and trying to charge me $115 more for a fee and rate that is $43 is absurd. I would’ve given you all five stars but because of these three things I have to give you two star rating the rooms were a three. The service was a three only because someone asked Hey is everything good do you need anything? So the service was a three and the location is a four but all in all because of the false advertising of free breakfast you...
Read moreI rarely, if ever, leave poor reviews, but my horrible experience at the Econo Lodge in Selma, NC warranted leaving one. I booked a room as a stop over on a long drive from FL to PA, so the 2 stars is for the location off of I-95 (a definite plus). That was the only benefit of this hotel though. During check-in, I was told I could not bring my pet (a 30 lb Beagle) into the hotel lobby, which meant I had to leave her in a small glass entry way that separated the lobby from the entrance to the building. Not a huge deal, but when you're traveling alone and leave a pet elsewhere, such a set up could've lead to my hound dog running out the front door if someone else had entered the hotel, which obviously would've been very bad. When you choose a hotel, you know to some extent what you're getting, especially for the advertised low-rates. However, I paid ~$90 for a 1 night stay in a pet-friendly, non-smoking room that had spiderwebs and dust bunnies in literally every corner of the room. I'm almost certain there was also urine on the bathroom floor towards the back of the toilet/next to the shower. The shower had a floormat in it, which I guessed was teeming with bacteria given the condition of the rest of the room. I experienced tiny red bumps (bug bites?) all over my chest and back after laying in/on the bed clothed. I don't believe they were bed bugs as I've heard the bites take longer to show up but I was too scared to check under the mattress to see if there was evidence of bed bugs there. I also saw one cockroach, but who knows how many else there were that I didn't see. You could hear everything going on outside as if there were no walls, and the heater did little to keep us warm when the temperature dropped to 30 degrees over night. I was also given no information about check-out so just winged it on my way out and left the card in the room. I will NEVER stay in an Econo...
Read moreThe place had plumbing problems I rented the room for a night September 16 through the 17 I came in after working all day Saturday, I was giving room 129 so when I went in I was exhausted so I just went straight to bed. I woke up at 9 in the morning I was going to take a shower and when I ran the water for the shower the water did not drain instead it back up in tube and the water started pouring out from under the toilet all over the floor and into the room. I informed the lady at desk her name was Pam Davis. I was informed that she knew about problem and they were waiting on a plumber. At that point I returned to my room and took pictures and video. I left to run up to the store and when I returned my stuff had be moved from room to office. I contacted the women I had talked with that morning and ask if there was something that could be done about the issue maybe a night free a parcel refund or full refund or either just a room so I could shower with a very ugly attitude she told me she wasn't going to do anything about the issue. So I replied by informing her I was going to call the owners of the establishment and the health department cause of the sewer water coming out from under the toilet and I was unable to shower at that point with her ugly attitude told me to leave the property or she would call the police and have me removed and to put me on a no rent list all because of they're problem with the plumbing in room. I don't know but I do believe that there has to be a health...
