I cannot say enough good things about Alex and Christensen Jewelers - there is no better place in the Twin Cities for all of your jewelry needs, and I can't recommend them enough. Alex has consistently provided outstanding service, quality and value - in fact, I was shocked to come across a negative review, as my experiences have always been incredibly positive. Alex recently designed a custom initial necklace for me that is based on a similar necklace that belongs to my mom. The attention to detail and craftsmanship of the necklace are extremely impressive, and my finished necklace is the exact same size, weight and style of my mom's - literally identical. Every single detail was accounted for, and I was honestly blown away by the finished product. Moreover, the design process was extremely collaborative, and Alex was receptive, responsive and patient in walking through the design process, making suggestions based on his expertise and explaining the in-house CAD design, 3-D printing and fabrication process to me. I walked away not only thrilled with my new necklace, but feeling like I had learned a lot about the incredible artistry and care that goes into each of his pieces.

I have also purchased diamond earrings and other pieces from Alex and have found his approach and knowledge so helpful - he is never pushy or trying to upsell. Instead, I have always felt like he makes recommendations with my best interests in mind as to wearability and respects my pricing parameters. Alex has also resized multiple rings for me, and I have found his pricing to be fair and transparent and the re-sizing done quickly and perfectly the first time. As a family-owned jeweler, he offers competitive rates and personalized service that were missing at other jewelers I have been to in the past (including the one we bought our engagement ring and wedding bands from before we found Alex).

LOVE THIS PLACE! I WOULD RECEOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE/EVERYONE!!!! I brought my grandmothers wedding ring in to be brought back to like new condition, and it is all that I expected and MORE! I had brought this ring to corporate, big name jewelers for quotes on the repairs, which were extensive, and they all quoted thousands. My grandmother wore the ring for 50 years, never removing it until she passed. It has 19 diamonds (was missing two) which meant that it needed several prongs re-tipped. Besides the prongs and the missing diamonds replaced, the band was also restored with additional metal and then sized appropriately for my finger. The total job at Christensen's was a FRACTION of what I was quoted elsewhere. This experience was a rather emotional one for me, as this ring is one of the most precious items I own.
