Went to the store as I did an online order to start service and it said I needed to go to the store to activate and bring my ID. I decided to come here when I went in I was TRYING to explain to the guy that my order got canceled he looked up my number and said I don’t have an account which obviously I don’t when I just said I was trying to switch over. Anyways I’m telling him I already know what plan I want which granted is the best plan they have and then due to my job I get $10 off per phone line and he said “AARP is better savings” like I just said I get a discount through my employer and if I do AARP he stated I’d pay a yearly fee like theirs no point in me doing that. Anyways he talks over me and I’m already getting flustered as this is my second store going into and I’m already not having a great experience. He then starts saying how many lines and starts telling me the pricing and I said that sounds about right and then he says “we’re going to add protection and all” like no. I’m sorry but I’ve worked in phone sales before and I have NEVER cracked my phone nor have I ever added protection to my phone lines. So I said “no we don’t want that” he said “it’s not optional” like yes it is so I walked out because I’m not going to be lied to and have things added to my bill without agreeing to it. My fiancé and I then called over to the AT&T in Merriam, KS and explained what happened and if we already knew everything we wanted could they take care of us? They said yes. The merriam location is corporate. So after having a not so pleasant experience here and trying to get told what I should and shouldn’t get Lashanda in Merriam, KS took...
Read moreMy fiancée, Brett, was on a mission to get me a new phone after I was in a car accident where my iPhone 13 pro was damaged in. By the time we got clearance from the insurance to replace it, it was November 26th and every AT&T store was out of stock and I would be stuck with no phone until Christmas time. Brett desperately called and we even told the salesperson at the 95th and Quivera store we would settle for any iPhone but the man basically informed us that we were out of luck. Brett called around and thank goodness she got ahold of the store manager, Nicholas, of the Shawnee location. He was amazing. My fiancée and I went one evening and was helped with the best customer service provided by John from Texas. We had experienced rejection and deception from other attempts but John and Nicholas were the exceptions. We hope that more experiences would be like ours. In a difficult time, they gave us piece of mind and we’re...
Read moreVery unhelpful. We needed to do a name change on our internet account and then change the email (had a typo). They had no idea how to do a name change which also meant they couldn’t change the email since my drivers license no longer matched regardless of bringing our marriage license as proof of name change. They said “let me find a code for you” and ended up giving me a number to call. I called the number and it was customer service for business accounts— not home internet. They could not help, but found me the right number to call to get help. During my call, the guy who was helping us was just scrolling on his phone while the manager watched from the room in the back. No attempts to help problem solve. No apologies for providing the wrong number. We went in store because we needed help and left...
