The Shawnee Whataburger doesn't understand it is a fast food restaurant. Employees don't seem to know that they have jobs to serve customers, not to just move food from Point A to Point B. I visited at 3:15 on a Saturday, and there were very few customers in the restaurant (more in the drive-thru). Could see several employees on the food preparation lines, but no one at the front counter and at the cash registers. After I waited several minutes (with two other customers waiting behind me) waiting for someone to take my (our) order, I was finally greeted. After placing my order, I waited. And waited. And waited. The two customers that ordered after I did, received their food. Another customer who ordered way after I did, received his food. I waited, and wondered. Wondered if I would receive my food. An employee finally shared my wondering, and asked to see my receipt and disappeared into the kitchen. Finally, another employee appeared with my food, and acknowledged that my order had been given to someone else. No apology, just information. This was at 3:45, which was 30 minutes after I placed my order, 35 minutes after I entered the restaurant. Now I worked fast food years ago, and know things happen (order is lost or delayed, etc.), but the customer should feel valued and cared for and the No. 1 priority. When something unexpected occurs that impacts the customer, do something to apologize and repair the restaurant's reputation to assure the customer this was a one-time occurrence and will never happen again. Yes, I'll return to this restaurant at some point, but begrudgingly. I love the food, but the Shawnee location is the only restaurant between Poteau and Norman when I attend OU football games. I look forward to the opening of the new Whataburger in Poteau, and can only hope it is not the embarrassment that the Shawnee restaurant is. Please do better. Fix things...
Read moreI don't typically leave a review without giving a places multiple chances. I was going through drive thru, and when I pulled up they told me to wait a minute. I said okay. A woman came on a few seconds later and asked what we wanted. I said I needed a little longer. She said okay. About a minute later I had my kids settled in to what they wanted and told the intercom I was ready to order. The guy got on and said he needed a minute again. I said okay. A few seconds later the lady came back on saying that they were too busy to take my order and that I'd have to wait 5-10 minutes before I could place my order. I said okay, can I please have your name. She said there is no reason for you to have that. I pulled up the number to the store and called. The same lady answered the phone. I asked who was speaking. She said, I'm the manager. I said, and your name is....? She said that I didn't need to know that. I said okay, what's your corporate number? She told me to go look it up and hung up. My wife went inside. I called again. A guy answered the phone by the name of Michael. I asked whay his manager's name was. He said Bailey. I asked for the corporate number again. He said hold on and hung up the phone. I called again. It rang twice, then they picked up the phone and hung it up again. I called again and it rang until it just stopped. I caked again and the real manager picked up. His name is William. He gave me the corporate number. I have worked in fast food before. I've never had a problem with Whataburger before. This is the worst customer service I've ever seen. By the way, if you want to know, the corporate number is 800-6-BURGER. We went across the street to Chick-fil-a. Best container service ever. I won't be going to that Whataburger location again. If you don't like your job, get a...
Read moreFood was horrible anytime I've ever gone to this Whataburger in Shawnee this is my experience. Stale food that tastes like it's been sitting under the heat lamp for hours. I took a chance and ordered some food through Uber eats, My food was cold and stale not enough sauce on my patty melt my fries were cold and tasted like they had been sitting under the heat lamp for hours like stated above I couldn't even eat my meal the patty melt was dry. So I called Whataburger spoke with the manager and he said I could bring my receipt and they would replace both meals. Patty melt meal and kids meal. So I went to Whataburger in Shawnee with my receipt proof of purchase to only be denied! They refused to replace both meals. This isn't the first time I've ordered food from this establishment and have spent well over 50 dollars for my family of four and our food is either cold or our burgers are dry or our fries taste like old grease or all of the above not to mention the poor customer service. The attitudes your employers have is highly unprofessional and when a customer comes in with a said receipt of proof of purchase with a manager's name on said receipt stating that the items should be replaced then you should follow said instructions. But Hey y'all id ya want a dry burger and old grease cooked fries then this Whataburger location is your place! Get it together and fix...
